BACKGROUND
The City of Manhattan’s Code of Ordinances requires that a license be obtained for any
business that provides trimming, removal, or pruning of trees and any business that sells
cereal malt beverages. Tree Maintenance license fees are $30 and Cereal Malt Beverages
License fees are $50 for off-premise and $200 for on-premise as well as a fee of $25 for
the purchase of the State Stamp for Cereal Malt Beverages.
DISCUSSION
The attached applications have met all requirements and all fees have been paid.
FINANCING
Not applicable.
ALTERNATIVE
It appears the Commission has the following alternative concerning the issue at hand. The
Commission may:
1. Approve the attached applications for Tree Maintenance Licenses and
Cereal Malt Beverages Licenses.
RECOMMENDATION
City Administration recommends approval of the attached applications for Tree
Maintenance Licenses and a Cereal Malt Beverages Licenses.
POSSIBLE MOTION
Approve a Tree Maintenance License for calendar year 2015 for Paul’s Tree Service, Inc.,
27530 Oregon Trail Road, Saint Marys, Kansas; Two Big Feet Tree Pruning & Removal,
405 North 5th Street; and Wildcat Tree Service, 3761 Cumberland Road; an annual Cereal
Malt Beverages On-Premises License for Hunam Express Chinese Restaurant, 1112 Moro
Street; and an annual Cereal Malt Beverages Off-Premises License for Wildcat Creek
Golf & Fitness, 800 Anneberg Circle.
