TECHNICAL FEATURES
Has the capacity to process waste between 50-300 lt/h with Neutralab standard products. For more waste processing, further project designing is needed.
At places where the waste inlet levels are different, a different pressurization device is provided.
Has a discharging system to dispose processed waste into the sewerage.
Waste processing is done automatically.
Measurement parameters (pH, mV, temperature) can be monitored continuously.
Ventilation system is available.
Has an alarm system for any liquid leakage. Can operate during continuous liquid flow.
The case is movable and resistant to corrosion.
Operates at 220 V 50 Hz.
The disinfectant concentration (Chlorine+Ozone) and the disinfectant contact time can be adjusted by a control
unit on the device. Thus, proper concentration and contact time according to the features of the waste can be
specified.
While working with high concentration, automatic disenfectant removal (dechlorination) can be done.
In case the pH value of the processed waste is not proper to the accepted criteria, the system automatically adjusts pH values
The waste inlets and outlets are easy to operate (can be done with one hand). During installation or uninstallation operation, there is no leaking or dripping at the connecting ports.
In case the chemicals used in the device are below a specified level, the system is equipped with audio and video
warning.
The device has an external sampling unit.

During establishment, the main task of Metan has been to initiate the culture and methodologies in the field of “Medical Waste Management Consultancy and Disposal Engineering “. The activities in this field has started with consultancy work in cooperation with EtLog GmbH Germany and continued with distributorship of major companies form Europe and USA as Ecodas, Tuttnauer, Matachane and Bond tech , etc. and finally with Logmed GmbH owned by Globetech Environment, USA. Kayseri, Konya and Kusadasi projects were contracted during this period. After Logmed GmbH announced bankruptcy ( during the global crisis, Globetech Environment lost in public lists in the USA ) , Metan decided to start manufacturing of medical waste sterilizers and the founder, Dr. Cemal Kaldirimci set up another company with the name of Optimet Engineering Co. and developed her own and unique design. The first product was set up in Afyon city. Adana, Kirikkale and N. Cyprus projects followed the first one and the last one contracted was Romania project. Kirikkale project was a BOT project covering waste collecting, logistics and treatment steps which is still ongoing. After Optimet had decided to stop manufacturing, Akar Co. , which is the leading autoclave manufacturing company copied the design of Dr. Cemal Kaldirimci , developed, added her engineering concept and launched into market Akar brand sterilizers . ( L type , the design of Dr. Cemal Kaldirimci ) Metan has been the exclusive international marketing company for Akar Co. for one year and during this period, Urfa project was realized. Currently Metan has been acting as up both a consulting and EPC company mainly in African and Gulf countries in healthcare waste management and field and has been using the proper products in her International projects. Meanwhile, Some projects for KfW and Gtz have been conducted by. Dr. Cemal KALDIRIMCI as the local expert ( Bursa, Nevsehir ) 2‐ Liquid Hospital waste management and disposal The grey and black water from hospitals, whether infectious or not, require controlling and treating properly. Metan has been acting as consulting and project management and Execution Company with regard to liquid healthcare waste. Metan is offering liquid medical waste neutralizer and disinfecting unit as well as total chemical and infectious treatment and purification systems. 3‐ Anti‐bacterial hospital and wall paint business Metan is currently the authorized marketing company of one of the leading paint manufacturers in Turkey, Sartas Paint Inc. Anti‐bacterial paint has been launched into market as an innovative product. and Metan has been qualified as the international marketing company. The cooperation started in late 2014 and currently the dealer network is being set up. 4‐ Mobile Field Hospital and Health Clinics business Mobile clinics and hospitals are rather new solutions providing quick services under emergency and combat conditions and at particularly the rural areas where stationary services are not so possible. Metan is in cooperation with major Turkish field clinics manufacturer and designing and installing the turn‐key solutions furnished with medical equipment. 5‐ Export of Hospital autoclaves, washing– sterilizing equipment, blood and laboratory cabinets, and hospital furniture Sumer Inc. is one of the most leading healthcare equipment manufacturer in Turkey and Metan has the export rights for the products made by Sumer. Metan has also been acting as consulting company to Sumer for product development and manufacturing. 6‐ Package Trading and tender business Metan has a large portfolio of healthcare equipment and material manufacturers from all over the world and with this wide portfolio and vise experience, is capable to perform the package project design and execution and also in tender business in and outside Turkey. B. ENVIRONMENTAL LINE 1‐Hazardous waste management and treatment Metan has been involved in the managing, storing and disposal activities of hazardous healthcare waste and hazardous industrial waste. The founder, Dr. Cemal Kaldirimci has set up a hazardous waste interim storage facility in Izmir city with the company name of Eko Waste Engineering Inc. which is still active in this field. Currently Metan has been using the incinerators from Santes Co., Turkey in the international EPC and commercial projects. 2‐Scrap plastic and scrap tire treatment and recycling line In this line, Metan is cooperating with selected suppliers in pyrolysis technologies field and to set up turn‐key plants to recover and purify steel, oil, power and carbon black from scrap tires. This industry is very fragile and there are numerous numbers of suppliers in the scrap tire and plastics pyrolysis line but only some of them are reliable and qualified by all means. One of the main concerns in this industry is firing danger and outmost care must be given in selecting the technology provider and method. Metan has spent quite a long time to choose the best technology providers in pyrolysis, product refinery and pre‐treatment lines. 3‐ Renewable Energy Sector, PV Solar Power to Energy Systems Metan has entered into the renewable energy sector in cooperation with Turk Res Solar Co. and some other suppliers from various countries. Metan is now offering turn‐key solar farms and also designing and offering street solar light systems, residential off‐grid systems, solar and wind‐solar hybrid systems which are tailor‐made according to the demands. Solid waste to power, municipal waste treatment for power generation, biomass to power, e‐waste recycling are other areas which Metan assists her clients with most proper technologies worldwide. 4‐ Potable Water and Waste Water Management and Treatment Metan has been offering to her clients , stationary and containerized potable water purification and desalination facilities working on resins, filtering and reverse osmosis methods and also can combine the facility with solar PV systems to be self‐sufficient in energy. Also, small to large size water purification and disinfecting tools and devices, equipment are provided from selected suppliers. In this line, project‐base cooperation with Major Turkish, Italian and German suppliers have been established. Further, stationary and containerized water bottling systems are combined with water purification systems. Also, waste water treatment bacteria, water remediation agents, soil stabilizers are traded in cooperation with various companies from Eastern and Western countries. 5‐Road and Building Security line Metan is offering the full line of hydraulic road blockers, hydraulic assassination traps, hydraulic road bollards, tire killers and turnstile systems made by one of the major manufacturers in Turkey. 6‐ Small to Medium capacity Work Machinery As many project applications require during handling, unloading, operation, etc. having small size work machinery on the ground. Hazardous waste is stored for a temporary period before it is treated, disposed or stored
elsewhere. Hazardous waste is stored in containers, tanks, waste piles, containment buildings
and surface impoundments.
A container is a portable device in which the hazardous waste can be stored, treated, disposed
or otherwise handled.( Example: 55-gallon drum.)
A waste pile is an open, uncontained waste pile used for storing or treating waste. The waste is
placed on top of a double liner system to prevent groundwater contamination from the waste
leachate.
Tanks are stationary devices made of non-earthen materials like steel, glass or concrete and
are used to treat or store hazardous waste.
Containment buildings are self supported, completely enclosed structures used to treat or
store non-containerized hazardous waste.
Surface impoundments are man-made excavations such as a lagoon or storage pit lined by
synthetic liners.
EPA identifies 4 ways to recycle hazardous waste:

Direct use and reuse
Combustion for energy recovery
Use constituting disposal
Hazardous waste can be recycled by being applied elsewhere, for example used as fertilizer.
Some wastes can be incorporated into another product, for example, used to make asphalt. The
recycling of these hazardous wastes in these ways is known as use constituting disposal.
Reclamation
By contrast, reclamation involves processing a waste to recover usable component. An example
of reclamation would be recovering mercury from broken thermometers. Spent (used) solvents,
such as acetone, can be distilled to make them pure again. Metals, such as lead, may also be
reclaimed from other materials, such as paint and lead-acid batteries.
Direct use or reuse
Direct use or reuse involves using a waste directly as an ingredient to make a product or a
substitute for a product. For example, latex paint can be mixed with ash to make cement mix for
concrete.
Combustion for Energy Recovery
Combustion for energy recovery is the use of wastes directly as a fuel or as an ingredient to
produce heat. For example, oily wastes can be used to generate steam or electricity.
Disposal techniques include, but are not limited to:

This process has undergone extensive technological advances that
fully comply with regulatory standards.
Landfill disposal.
With underground barriers, this method is considered
environmentally viable, as hazardous substances are caught before they seep into
the ground. DOT certified waste management workers arrive onsite, properly label

to the landfill site for disposal.
Concrete mixing.
To stabilize or solidify certain toxic substances, some waste
management operations mix a specific concrete concoction with the hazardous
