Quality
Improving quality is a daily priority at Ford. From design and manufacture to sales and

Best practices in quality are shared worldwide. Ford continues to expand its U.S. industryleading 3-Wet paint process to additional plants across the globe, reducing plant emissions

Ford is also pioneering the use of high-strength, military grade aluminum alloy and highstrength steel in the 2015 F-150, making it the toughest, smartest and most capable F-150 ever.

Occupant protection and accident avoidance guide every Ford Motor Company design and
engineering effort. Rigorous evaluations, including extensive computer modeling and crashtesting vehicles in both real and virtual worlds, help to ensure Ford vehicles meet or exceed
regulatory requirements.
Ford also continues to pioneer technologies, such as inflatable rear safety belts, adaptive
airbags, the SOS Post-Crash Alert System,™ AdvanceTrac® electronic stability control,

The Ford Focus Electric is powered by a rechargeable battery, produces zero CO2 emissions,
and never needs an oil change. The Ford C-MAX Energi and Fusion Energi plug-in hybrids
offer the best of both worlds: drive like an electric vehicle for short trips and a conventional
hybrid for long journeys.
Ford SYNC® remains an industry-leading driver connectivity technology, evolving with each
next-generation upgrade. Ford also continues to accelerate the implementation of our
EcoBoost® engine lineup across our global vehicle portfolio.
Ford has also adopted numerous manufacturing standards to reduce the company’s overall
environmental impact. By cutting energy and water use, as well as emissions and waste, Ford
continues to demonstrate that building better products begins with building a better world.

Ford is also advancing the development of semi-autonomous technologies that have the
potential to ease traffic congestion and make driving safer. Ford vehicles offer driver-assist
technologies including: Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, active park assist,
adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support, lane-keeping alert, enhanced
active park assist, and BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert.
