Our systems are easy to fit, work clearly at any speed and we give full technical support. Simply add a second headset. Nobody does it better, they don’t even come close! Why Choose Autocom? The Best Choose the Best Optimum Comfort, Safety, Durability, Performance and Value After many years of dedicated research Autocom have created the perfect blend of high quality components and designs, offering the optimum in comfort, safety, durability, performance and value for money. Comfort to Autocom, is one of our first priorities. It doesn’t matter how good the intercom is or how well it performs, if it’s too uncomfortable to use the only thing you’ll want to do is remove it from your helmet. Safety and comfort must both come first on the Autocom priority list which is why we have developed headsets that are comfortable to use without having to modify helmets, so combining safety with comfort. Durability Tough wires need to be well anchored to connectors, microphones and speakers, without compromising comfort and safety in a costeffective way, and this is our second priority. Performance Autocom’s performance claims are conservative to ensure complete customer satisfaction. When we say 150mph that’s typical not the minimum or maximum, and that’s an Autocom guarantee no other manufacturer dare claim. Autocom’s signal to noise ratio is by far the best, which is why only the speech, not the helmet noise is reproduced at the speakers, because we do not amplify the helmet noise, we do not make the helmet noisier, so communications are far superior. Ease of Installation Our HS7-U2 is a universal stereo headset with super slim speakers and a mini socket for a choice of plug-in boom microphones. The HS7-U2 is designed to fit most helmet types without any helmet modifications for maximum comfort and safety. The choice of three different detachable boom microphones allows it to suit most different helmet types in the most logical, costeffective way. Value for Money It must be hard to compare prices when there is nothing to compare it with. Autocom is unique and you get what you pay for and that’s quality and value for money. You usually find the best costs more, but there are many other brands costing much more, offering far less than Autocom. Of course if you can find a cheaper system that suits your needs, all we can say is "good luck, and we’ll expect to see you soon when you come back to buy one of our extraordinary products that really do offer exceptional value for money". 11 12 Super Pro Boom Microphone Autocom (Super Pro-B) noise cancelling Universal Boom Length 225mm (83/4") Not including cable and connector. Autocom has developed a world leading communication product for the professional that is the envy of the world, and is now in demand by leading professionals that want clarity, performance and reliability. Bike-to-Bike or rider-to-pillion the Pro-7 gives crystal clear sound quality thanks to Autocom’s unique helmet mounted microphone and speaker system. One neat feature of the Pro-7-Sport is that you can plug your phone, GPS and music into the system at the same time. Speed rating is always contentious, and I didn’t find its limit, but at high motorway speeds I was still able to maintain a clear conversation.” Steve Cain - Motorcycle Voyager September 2003 (Tested to 150mph) “Autocom has the most explicit instruction, in fact the information we learned here proved useful in setting up and testing all the other installations. Once in place the sound quality was superb, no problems with discomfort and the microphone is the slimmest. This is the only system to have orientation flats on the connectors which makes it quick and easier to use. They’re big too so you don’t have to fiddle. The optional PTT mounts below rather than on the handlebar, making it much easier to use, with a positive action. But the best function is the VOX. The only time it false triggered was when we were first setting up and learning how to use it. After that it was fine up to 150mph and we didn’t need the optional PTT. The system was still working at 150mph but we didn’t test any faster because we had no earplugs. April 2003 “Autocom’s Pro-7-Sport is the only one we can recommend without hesitation. Its modular systems mean you buy only the elements you need, adding components such as bike-to-bike intercom later. At its heart is a black box, into which you plug your music and mobile phone. The unit can be wired into your bike’s switched live or a PP3 battery and the CDquality stereo headset and microphone are a breeze to fit and aren’t just discreet - their wafer thin profile belies their quality and clarity. Receive a phone call and the system automatically cuts the music, restoring it when the call ends and callers will be genuinely pushed to know that you’re riding, such is the clarity of comms. Conversation is not only possible but of startling clarity, even at speeds over the ton. You can hear your own voice through your speakers, which helps you speak at the correct volume, whatever your speed. It’s difficult to compare Autocom’s systems to any other because quite simply, nothing else comes close.” January 2002 “If you want a seriously good intercom system look no further than Autocom, conversation is not only possible but also amazingly clear at very illegal speeds. When using a mobile callers often don’t even know you’re on a bike. Simple to use, very versatile. I can’t recommend it highly enough.” Giles Butcher 2002 “When we first installed the Autocom equipment I was staggered by the clarity compared to other systems we’d tried. Believe me when you’re doing over 180mph an inch away from a concrete wall, clear and reliable communication is vital, Autocom delivers on both clarity and reliability. You won’t get me out in the race car now without it. There is no doubt in my mind, Autocom was a significant contributor in winning the championship.” John Mickel – 2001 European ASCAR Champion. June 1999 “The Autocom is well made with robust connectors. The headset is the best and fits neatly, easily and comfortably in our helmets, providing clear communication at 120mph. Of the six intercoms tested the choice is easy and Autocom is the best buy. There are no recommendations for any of the others because nothing else performed well enough.” December 1998 Rider-Passenger Intercom Test. “Autocom makes arguably the best systems which provide clear, crisp sound at triple digit speeds whether you have a fairing or not.” November 1998 Bike-to-Bike Intercom Test “All of the units became virtually useless over 60mph with the notable exception of the Autocom’s. Unbelievably, the Procom and Eurocom allowed understandable communication at 160mph and 130mph respectively! For talking over long distances - or at speeds over 60mph - the Autocom’s are the only viable choice. Autocom’s speakers and microphones were the slimmest of the lot.” BMW Owners News USA January 1998 “On a two mile runway at Bruntingthorpe (England) Lee Parks of Motorcycle Consumer News and I, armed ourselves with two Honda Blackbirds, in an attempt to discover the limits of Autocom’s Pro System. Amazingly even though we could get 185mph on the clocks, the worlds fastest production bikes were not fast enough, and we could still communicate clearly. Even more amazingly the price of Autocom gear is comparable to low end, fewer featured products from other companies.” May 1997 “I am writing on behalf of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Services with regard to the communication system you devised for the driving school. After about one year of use I would like to commend Autocom for the unique system. It is extremely good in performance manufacture and quality, and gives good hearing protection and communication for the instructor and candidates alike. We can now converse quite normally in extreme noise without the need to shout or be deafened.” April 1997 “The audio was superb. What made it special was the lack of amplified wind noise, coupled with stereo audio. Conversation was possible up to 130mph. Recommended.” December 1996 “Cadbury’s Boost Yamaha would like to thank Autocom for helping us win the ’96 championship. Your system gave us confidence and the upper hand in race day proceedings. The Autocoms proved to be priceless, helping us to win many of the races throughout the season.” WHAT October 2004 “Thanks to Autocom for the crystal clear communications at 180mph.” Blindfolded Land Speed Record - Jamie Wilkins MOBILE November 1996 “If you need a cellular phone on your bike Autocom is the only way to do it.” December 1995 “The Autocom system gives a whole new dimension to two-up touring. Behind the BMW’s screen we could talk normally at any speed up to 120mph which is as fast as she’d let me go.” BMW Club Journal October 1994 “We went to the 1993 Motorcycle Show, and witnessed a demonstration by Autocom. The stand was so crowded that I didn’t bother to buy one at the time, but now having used one do we think it is worth the money? Well if you like quality and I presume that, riding a BMW, you do, you won’t be disappointed.” May 1994 “Sound quality was crisp irrespective of speed. Price should be compared with a decent car stereo and not £40.00 intercoms. The Best.” So on the basis that their systems were way ahead of the closest competition, Autocom have again scooped both best buy and only system recommended. Best buy goes to Kit 6 because it’s both the best and easiest to use. The quality of the VOX not only makes it hands-free, but brain free. Couple that with the ability to configure it exactly to your needs and it’s the only system with no limitation.” September 1993 “This British built intercom system is among the best if not the best available. Overall sound quality is excellent. All in all it’s hard to fault this excellent system. “The Best.” A Few of the Many Comments from our Thousands of Satisfied Customers Touring abroad in a group and having to find your way "on the fly" can turn trail into trial and puts huge onus on the guy in front getting it right at every junction. Communication is a huge advantage and takes the pressure off the entire group resulting in a far more enjoyable experience. We have now made a number of trips to France with Kenwood TK3101 radios and Autocom’s fitted to both the lead and tail bikes of the group and the results have been frankly amazing! If the lead rider is unsure of a direction, two heads prove better than one and in heavy traffic, no one gets lost as the tail rider simply asks the lead bike to pull in or slow down until the group are reunited. No dangerous catch-up manoeuvre means that everyone can concentrate on safety at all times. The vox on the Autocom is outstanding and the clarity once set up is unbelievable, as a convenience it is superb but as an item of road safety when touring it is indispensable. Stephen Green It finally happened. I am 41 years old and it finally happened. Finally a company lived up to its promises! I made a purchase based on vendor recommendations and published articles. Your communication system does everything that it promised. Not almost, or just okay, it exceeded every expectation. Clear uninterrupted communication, just like you promised. I just completed a call to your sales and technical support department, and I am just as amazed at the help and support that was offered on that call. Your company will continue to do very well. Congratulations. Jim Mathieson Without the Autocom intercom, biking would not be as much fun as it is now. Thank you for a well made product that does exactly what it says in the brochure. Should you have any potential customers in Devon or Cornwall, I would be happy to demonstrate how well it works. Andrew E Lander Stow I visited your premises to have a new headset fitted to my helmet and to have the old communications system checked on a BMW bike I had recently purchased. The helmet was fitted immediately and the system checked and found to be beyond economic repair. I decided to renew the system and expected to either have to return the 150 miles at a later date or have one fitted locally. I was amazed that your technician was quite happy to install it whilst I waited with a cup of coffee. I must say that I am not used to such a level of service and you are to be complimented. As I was leaving, extremely impressed with your operation, an existing fault with the ignition wiring re-occurred leaving the motorcycle with no power. Within an hour your technicians had effected a repair whilst I waited with more coffee. I could see that negotiating the fairing etc. was extremely difficult but every worried glance of mine was met with a smile and a 'don't worry, we'll sort it,' and sorted it was. All we can say is thank you for such superb service, there aren't many companies left that can, or want to do it! I am passionate about quality music. I have just fitted two Pro-7's to my friends motorcycles and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. WELL DONE! I have to reiterate how impressed I am, not only with your level and quality of service and equipment, but with the professionalism, dedication and courtesy shown by your staff. Do not allow the gentleman there to be headhunted! Mike and Jill Ken Chisholm P. Holder A few months back, myself and a friend visited your workshop unannounced (slap wrist). We wanted two Autocom kits, but didn’t know which one. Although you were busy at the time, you found the time to explain our options. We opted for two Pro-7 units (about everything you will ever need). On the day you were fitting a BMW R1150RT, which was good as that is what I ride, so fitting was no problem. The unit is easy to use and works very well, reception and clarity is out of this world, even at high motorway speeds. The service and attention we received at Autocom was fantastic and unfortunately today so unusual. My friend and I would like to say “Thank You” to everybody at Autocom for everything, we will be recommending Autocom to all our friends and colleagues. Dave Buller and Phil Dodd I would like to say, like many others, how good your after sales technical support is. It is VERY much appreciated, and rest assured I will continue to recommend your products when I am asked by others what intercom set they should go for. TOP MARKS all round. Sincere thanks to you and all at Autocom. Graham Butler 3 What Is The Difference Between Kits 1, 3 and 6? There are many types of transceivers available, some much better than others and as a rule you get what you pay for. The Kenwood TK3201 is in our view the best quality and value for money, which is why we highly recommend it. However, we also make various interface leads so that you can plug in a choice of transceivers, including the cheaper Motorola T5422. These work reasonably well, although they do not have the same quality, performance and range of the Kenwood TK3201 and Icom F22SR. Kenwood TK3201 Icom F22SR 73 Kenwood claims this transceiver is built to military specification and is designed for the professional user. We like its built-in durable diecast chassis and rugged outer casing. The TK3201 is able to work reliably in most conditions where others would simply fail. Sold as a single unit with battery and charger. 85 A low cost, robust radio with a standard Motorola single pin accessory connector. Reasonable weather resistant construction, an attractive budget radio for the leisure users. Sold as a twin pack with batteries and charger. Like the Kenwood the Icom is built to a high standard and although it seems to have a slightly shorter range it doesn't mind being used almost continuously making it ideal for the professional rider training where non stop running commentary is essential. Sold as a single unit with battery and charger. This radio can be optionally bike powered when used with a bike powered Pro-7-Sport using lead Part 95 which eliminates the need for batteries, giving you non stop bike-to-bike audio communication. £198.00 Each Motorola T5422 71 This radio is best used as a portable unit either in a tank bag or a pocket.
