If you ask Ferrari, there are too many people who love the 458 Italia but
are put off by its measly 562 horsepower and piddling 202-mph top speed.
At least that’s what we assume the thought process is, as the gang in
Maranello pulls from the oven the 458 Speciale—a 458 variant that’ll
work even the sturdiest of leather kilts into a bunch.
The third roadgoing take on the 458 following
the Italia and the Spider (the 458 Challenge
is a track-only edition, although it wouldn’t
surprise us if at least one example hasn’t spent
a few late nights on public thoroughfares), the
458 Speciale is the sort of car we expected to
see at September’s Frankfurt auto show. Now
that it’s official, we’re glad to report that the
Speciale earns its moniker by addressing three
basic tenets of suprecardom: power, grip, and
aerodynamics.
The naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V-8 is now rated at 597
horsepower, although torque remains steadfast at 398 lb-ft.
Ferrari says it’s the highest-output naturally aspirated Ferrari
V-8 of all time, and that its 133 horsepower per liter is the
“highest ever achieved by a roadgoing naturally aspirated
engine.” Equally as important is the Speciale’s weight loss,
with Ferrari quoting a dry weight of 2844 pounds—down from
a claimed 3042 pounds in the Italia—which gives it a powerto-weight ratio of 4.77 pounds per horsepower. The Italian
marque says that 0–62 mph will take 3.0 seconds—which we
find conservative as we’ve recorded 3.0-second runs to 60 in
Italia guise in previous testing—and 124 mph will arrive in 9.1
seconds.
To address grip, Ferrari introduced a new algorithm to its
Side Slip angle Control system (SSC), which is said to make
it easier to achieve car control at the limit. By performing
real-time analysis of the car’s lateral slip and comparing it
with the computer’s target value, the system can dole out the
power—or not—via integration with the car’s traction control
and the electronic differential. To make the most of the setup,
the brand collaborated with Michelin on a specially honed
set of Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, said to improve lap times—
Ferrari is claiming a lap time of its Fiorano circuit of 1.23.5;
for comparison’s sake, the LaFerrari tops the productionspec timesheets with a sub-1.20.00 lap—consistency, and
provide maximum grip in the wet. Essentially, this means
owners’ driving skills will appear to be almost as impressive
as their cash-piling skills. The Speciale’s lateral acceleration
number of 1.33 g is another best, one that the prancing
horse proclaims to be the “highest lateral acceleration ever
achieved” in its lineup.

North Face Rally. There were a total of nearly twenty Toronto and
Chinese Media that attended this show. Most of Toronto mainstream
media and Chinese media provided substantial supports to report
this memorial event comprehensively, such as television station, live
television, newspaper, magazines and website.

On April 2, 2015, the day before the influential and famous movie
“Fast and Furious 7” was released, Canada Sport Car Club (CSCC)
successfully held a “Fast and Furious 7” Auto Show at Cineplex
Odeon Queensway VIP Cinemas, in order to give an emotional
tribute to Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker, who died unfortunately.
The major themes of this Auto Show contained movie and sport
cars. During the show, CSCC interacted with guests and some movie
actors by taking photos, having interviews, walking on the red
carpet, having autograph session, holding a small wine party and
watching movies. In addition, CSCC played a portion of the movie
Fast and Furious 7 before official release to guests. The attention and
support the event officials have supplied to honor Paul Walker is fairly
obvious.

for Summer Trips
More fatalities occur on Canadian roads during the summer months than at any other
time of year, including the winter holiday season. Alcohol, fatigue and aggressive driving
are often implicated in these tragedies. Whether you’re out for a day trip, travelling to the
cottage or on a cross-country holiday, the Canada Safety Council urges all Canadians to
put safety first when you set out on your summer travels.

Prepare your vehicle
Keep your passengers safe
Before leaving on vacation, have your vehicle
checked to make sure everything is working
properly. Repair or replace worn parts to avoid
the worry and time-consuming costly repairs
that could ruin your trip. Check fluid levels
and tire pressure. Make sure all lights work,
including signal lights.
Make sure everyone in your vehicle is buckled
up properly at all times. Buckling up is the
single most effective thing you can do to keep
yourself and your passengers safe while on the
road.
If you are travelling with young children, make
sure to make regular stops. Bring plenty of
items to keep them occupied. Special travel
games and songs also help.
Drive defensively
Stay alert
Drive at a safe speed. Speeding increases the
likelihood and severity of a crash. The faster a
vehicle is moving, the less time the driver has
to react to a hazard, and for other road users to
react to that vehicle. A speeding vehicle requires
more time and distance to stop. Leave plenty
of distance between yourself and the vehicle
ahead. Apply the three second rule so you can
see around the car ahead and plan a manoeuvre
to avoid potential dangers, add more time if
you have a heavier vehicle, and in poor weather
conditions.
Canadians often travel long distances when
they go on vacation. This creates a temptation
to keep driving for extended periods even
when tired. On top of this, routes can be quite
monotonous, another factor that can make a
driver sleepy. Get a good sleep before leaving
on a long trip. Fatigue is a form of impairment;
so don’t give in to that temptation to push
on. If you started early, stop early. Rest stops
are important. A break keeps the driver alert
by promoting blood circulation, makes the
trip more pleasant for passengers and lets the
vehicle cool down.
The Canada Safety Council estimates that 85 per
cent of collisions are preventable. But simply
being in the right will not save you from injury
or death. You must be prepared for the unsafe
actions of other motorists or for poor driving
conditions.
*Obey all signs and signals, including speed
limits, traffic lights, stop signs and railway
crossings.
*If you drive with a wireless phone, avoid
unnecessary calls and always make the driving
task your top priority.
Share the road
With the warmer weather, comes the prevalence
of vulnerable roads users. Motorists must
be cautious of cyclists, motorcyclists and
pedestrians. Always be on the lookout for and
yield to vulnerable road users, even if they
don’t have the right-of-way. Summer also
brings increased construction on our roads and
highways. Be prepared to stop or slow down in
construction zones.

On the floor of the Geneva Motor Show, Italian manufacturer
Lamborghini just launched the next iteration of the Aventador, the
Superveloce. Just like all versions of this nameplate, the latest SV
promises even more performance: more power, less weight and
styling that befits this newest enraged bull.
more aerodynamic lips, this new Superveloce is supposedly 150%
more aerodynamic than the standard car. Even better, those new
aero bits help the car make 170% more downforce than it used to.
First of all, let's talk about that power: compared to the ''regular''
version, the car has gained 50 horses, for a total of 750. This
power gain is helped by a 50 kg weight reduction, which was
accomplished thanks to the massive use of carbon fibre.
One of the most remarkable aspect of the Aventador SV is probably
its outlandish styling: with its huge rear wing, new bumpers and

Porsche has the art of exciting 911 devotees down to
a science, and the buildup to the reveal of the 2016
Porsche 911 GT3 RS was no different. For most
neunelf followers, the twitching began with the simple
knowledge that the car was on its way, the eagerness
growing to sweaty-palmed anticipation with every
unsubstantiated rumor or spy shot.
Continuing on the path of its predecessors, the newest
911 GT3 RS arrives packing 500 horsepower and 338
lb-ft of torque courtesy of a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter
flat-six hanging off the back end, where God and
Ferdinand Porsche intended. Sharp-eyed aficionados
will be quick to point out that those numbers are nearly
spot on with those of the 2012 GT3 RS 4.0, matching
it in displacement and horsepower while losing a single
pound-foot somewhere along the way. This, we can
live with. More disconcerting, however, is that a sevenspeed PDK is the only available transmission in the
2016 car, at least at launch. (As we have reported,
however, a manual is being seriously considered for
later.) On the upside, a paddle-neutral feature and a
button for limiting pit-lane speed are standard, and the
RS also gets a shorter rear axle ratio than the standard
911 GT3, which should provide for hastier takeoffs.

our test gear to the current-generation, 475-hp 911
GT3, we hit 60 in 3.0 and matched the RS’s quoted
quarter-mile run. You can see why we’re betting Porsche

As is its wont, Porsche took time to assemble a healthy
list of options, including a lightweight lithium-ion battery,
front-axle lift system, carbon-ceramic brakes, and the
Sport Chrono Package. The last item includes the
Porsche Track Precision app, which allows you to use
GPS to measure and record performance numbers
that are then synced with your smartphone to compare
against your fellow enthusiasts. The privileges of
foregoing air conditioning and/or an audio system are,
thankfully, no-charge options. As is usual practice for
hard-core Porsches, the Clubsport Package—which
brings a roll cage, wiring for a kill switch, an interiormounted fire extinguisher, and a six-point harness—will
not be available in the U.S. It is, naturally, standard in
Europe.
Porsche, whose estimates are generally on the
conservative side, pegs the 911 GT3 RS’s zero-to-60mph time at 3.1 seconds and its zero-to-124-mph run
at 10.9; the sprint through the quarter-mile is said to

In the past, if you wanted an all-out sports SUV than you had to
get either a BMW X5M or a Porsche Cayenne. Fortunately, the
American companies started to roll out their own versions of a
sports SUV. This is how the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
came to life. It is based on the 2014 model of the car with a few
improvements made to the engine as well as to the chassis in
order to make the driver feel more comfortable while driving it.
Let’s start out journey with the most important thing of this
car, the engine. Just as with the previous generation, it boasts
a 6.4 liter Hemi V8. Unlike other fast SUVs, this doesn’t offer
a supercharged or turbocharged engine, so all you get is 470
horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque from a raw and untamed
engine. Thanks to this it offers a much more natural experience
than its competitors.
Inside the car you’ll get all you could want from such a car. There
is leather upholstery, dual zone climate control, a very good
audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity as well as
a satellite navigation system as standard. Options include a
panoramic roof, rear view camera and also sport seats in the
front.
The exterior on the other hand will be somewhat similar to that
of the previous generation. The main changes were made both
to the front bumper and grille and to the back of the car. The
grille now features a different design while the front bumper now
includes the LED daytime running lights. The rear bumper on the
other hand now includes a dual exhaust system with rectangular
pipes.

Due to high demand for its inaugural 2015 Charger Hellcat and Challenger Hellcat edition
vehicles, FCA’s Dodge division will be vastly increasing production for the coming year.
Volumes for its special high-powered models are expected to more than double in 2016.
The news comes after it became clear that Dodge wouldn’t be able to keep up with North
American orders of its 707-horsepower muscle cars. Existing outstanding orders for 2015
models will be cancelled, but for their patience those customers will be receiving a discount
on the price next year's model.

Here are some common dental emergencies and how to handle them:
Toothache
Toothaches may be caused by a variety of problems, so it is best to call
us to discuss your symptoms as the treatment will vary Often the first
step is to try to control the pain with over-the-counter medication such
as Advil (ibuprofen) or Tylenol (acetominophen).
The next step is to determine what the cause is. Pain in the tooth may
be from a cavity, a cracked tooth or an abscess. All of these require a
visit to the dentist and the abscess will usually require antibiotics.
Chipped or broken tooth
Chipped or broken teeth can almost always be saved as long as the
root structure has not been badly damaged. Usually a tooth-colored
filling can be placed to rebuild the broken portion. In more serious
cases a root canal treatment may be needed. Sharp broken edges can
irritate the tongue or lip and are best treated as quickly as possible.
Knocked-out tooth
If the knocked-out tooth is an adult (or permanent) tooth, we may be
able to put it back quickly. If the tooth is put back in place within 10
minutes, it has a fair chance of taking root again. After 2 hours, the
chances are poor.
If the tooth looks clean, put it back in its place (its socket). If it’s dirty,
hold the tooth by the crown and gently rinse off the root of the tooth
in water. Do not scrub it or remove any attached tissue fragments.
If possible, gently insert and hold the tooth in its socket. If that isn’t
possible, put the tooth in a cup of milk and come and see us as quickly
as possible. Remember to bring the tooth with you!
Lost filling
If you have all or part of a filling fall out just put a piece of softened
sugar-free chewing gum in the spot where the filling was lost. This will
protect the area for a short period of time until you can get in to see
dentist. The same technique can be used if your temporary crown falls
off: just soften up some sugar-free gum and place a little piece inside
the crown and replace it onto your tooth.
Post-operative bleeding
After surgery, there will sometimes be bleeding that occurs during the
first 24 hours. Biting on a gauze pad or on a wet tea bag will usually
control the bleeding. If you are unable to control the bleeding you must
seek immediate treatment. For more information, please consult our
