Usage / mtul : 17 Usage Area : Bevelled edge Quality Standard : TS EN 771-1 STORING THE MATERIAL The bricks are presented to use in nylon packing palettes or closed box. Pallets are loaded with the help of forklift in the factory and then they are downloaded with forklift, crane or hand in using place. The material in palette can be transferred with hands or handcar in dockyard during the process of work. Utmost attention should be paid while the bricks are being carried, and they must be stored well to prevent the corner breaks. The bricks must be saved from rain or water affect in storing location. THE DEVICES USED DURING APPLYING Shovel, rope, trowel, balance, spiral machine, plaster hull, hand car A : 190 B : 90 C : 50 PREPARING PLASTER While preparing klinker brick’s darn plaster, 1 scale of pure Portland cement and 6 scale of stream sand must be used. The water, which is used, must be drinkable and clean. The possibly littlest amount of water must be added to the plaster. In all mixture of plaster attention must be paid to the proportions’ equality. Otherwise, there may occur different shades in the color of material. PROTECTING THE WALL DURING APPLICATION Klinker brick walls, during application and the day after it, especially the first and the seven sequent days must be protected from rainwater, moisture until it gains strength. It is important to prevent water to pass in the cutting of wall, so upon the application some coverings as nylon and brand must be used by leaving e little emptiness between it and wall. CLEANING, AIR CONDITIONS AND OTHER MATTERS • Lying up below 4 degrees must not be performed. • If the lying up is done under hot weather conditions, the bricks must be wetted, as they will decrease the strength by absorbing the water of plaster. For this, it should be sufficient to put the bricks in clean water before using. THE ADVICE OF EXPERT • During lying up, because of the natural structure of the land, there may be seen shade differences in bricks. Therefore, to prevent this difference during the lying up of brick wall, the lying up must be done by taking brick from different palettes. • During the application, attention must be paid to prevent the joint gap material to stream the surface of brick. It is necessary to wait until these materials dry and then cleaned with a hard brush. Special cleaning materials with acid must be used for very dirty surfaces. • After the application, there must not be any contact of brick with paint, varnish, vinegar, hydrochloric acid. • In the brick application, it is important to work with advisable, certificated expert groups. APPLICATION The place, which will be lied up with brick, is measured by beginning from floor level to the all edge and corners. While measuring, it is necessary to add 1 cm joint section. The plaster is put on brick (it must be as thick as possible) to make it stick to edges, it is formed with trowel. By raising the corners, the lying up of brick must continue. The putting of bricks by using rope and water balance will provide easiness during lying up. The plaster, which will be painted on side surfaces of the wall, must be painted by pressing and preventing the contact with front surface. The pressed plaster will prevent the rainwater from entering into the wall. With putting klinker brick on plaster the occurring plaster must be taken with a trowel. Klinker brick is put by hand or by knocking mildly and is taken on balance. During lying up, klinker brick wall metal must not be used. (Especially in front side application which is left under the effect of rain). 18 19 PAVER BRICK SERIES TKL/1 TKL/1-D Surface Tissue : Wire Cut / Smooth Weight : 2.300 gr. Pallets are loaded with the help of forklift in the factory and then they are downloaded with forklift, crane or hand in using place. The material in palette can be transferred with hands or handcar in dockyard during the process of work. Utmost attention should be paid while the bricks are being carried, and they should be stored well to prevent the corner breaks. THE DEVICES USED DURING APPLICATION The devices used for floor are brick, rope, balance, plastic mallet, chisel, trowel, spiral machine and compactor. CLEANING, AIR CONDITIONS AND THE OTHER MATTERS If the bricks are need to be cut, they should be cut on a soft surface or on sand with chisel or diamond knife spiral. THE EXPERT’S ADVICE TYPE : 3 BASKET WEAVE TYPE NO : 4 PILE WEAVE During the firing process, because of the soil’s natural structure, colour shade differences may be seen. So, during the lying up process, the lying up should be done by taking bricks from different palette to prevent such differences. After the application, the materials such as paint, vinegar, hydrochloric acid should not be applied on the surface of brick. For brick application, it is necessary to work with recommended certificated expert groups. Before the application of paver bricks, it is necessary to conduct a good survey of the floor according to purpose of use. The loose surfaces should be supported with 10-15cm lean concrete on 10-15cm blockage and the necessary inclination should be ensured for water drainage. It is necessary to take into consideration the brick dimensions while the application area is taken in frame with border elements. Border, channel, stair, pool edge and pole bottom should be plastered and be applied with 1cm joint. The joint that overflows should be taken with trowel without smearing. The shovel should be formed with trowel. 3,5cm thick sand should be lied on the area that is framed and it should be pressed with help of 3-4 passes by means of compactor. TYPE NO : 5 LINE WEAVE TYPE NO : 6 BASKET WEAVE The pressed sand should be jigged with a gauge and the guide ropes should be pulled to reach joint straightness. All kinds of lying up can be applied on the pressed sand. (45-90 degrees herringbone lying up should preferred on the applications which expose to traffic load. On pedestrian crossings vertical connection, pile up and basket lying up can be used.) -During the paving process, there should be left 2-3mm gaps between bricks. Besides, for the right lying up, it is necessary to follow the guiding ropes. During lying up, when the brick is needed to be cut, there should be formed a 2-3mm groove with a spiral, on the surface of the brick and brick should be cut well with a broad mounted chisel by spreading it on sand. After the lay up process, clean sand should be spread and it should be ensured that it has entered in all intervals. After that, 3-4 passes should be carried out on the surface with a plastic floor compactor and the fixed joint should be filled up with sand again. The application area should be swept with a sweeper and controlled that each joint has been filled up with sand. 28 29 CLADDING BRICK SERIES COLOURS, SURFACE and FILLING EFFECT TECHNICAL DETAILS Product Code A KK / 1 KLINKER CLADDING BRICK KK / 1 BREEZE KLINKER CLADDING BRICK KK / 1 D KLINKER CLADDING BRICK (SMOOTH) KK / 2 KLINKER CORNER CLADDING BRICK KK / 3 ROCK FACED CLADDING BRICK KK / 4 LARGE CLADDING BRICK KK / 5 SLIM CLADDING BRICK KK / 6 CLADDING BRICK ON EDGE KK / 7 FLAT CLADDING BRICK (SMALL) KK / 8 KLINKER CLADDING BRICK B C D Weight Usage/m2 Water Absorption 215 mm 15 mm 65 mm - 440 gr. 60 Max. % 7 215 mm 15 mm 65 mm - 520 gr. 60 Max. % 7 215 mm 15 mm 65 mm - 440 gr. 60 Max. % 7 215 mm 102 mm 65 mm 15 mm 600 gr. 13.4 pcs./mtul Max. % 7 215 mm 25 mm 65 mm - 680 gr. 60 Max. % 7 290 mm 22 mm 100 mm - 1.300 gr. 30 Max. % 7 240 mm 15 mm 50 mm - 310 gr. 66 Max. % 7 215 mm 15 mm 30 mm - 200 gr. - Max. % 7 190 mm 15 mm 50 mm - 270 gr. 85 Max. % 7 215 mm 15 mm 40 mm - 270 gr. 100 Max. % 7 WIRE CUT / AEGEAN RED / GRAY FILLING WIRE CUT / AEGEAN BROWN / GRAY FILLING WIRE CUT / AEGEAN YELLOW / GRAY FILLING WIRE CUT / AEGEAN WHITE / BLACK FILLING WIRE CUT / AEGEAN SAND / GRAY FILLING WIRE CUT / AEGEAN YELLOW / BROWN FILLING RAIN / AEGEAN RED / BLACK FILLING RAIN / DEGRADE / GRAY FILLING MİSYA / DEGRADE / GRAY FILLING RUSTIC / AEGEAN RED / BLACK FILLING RUSTIC / AEGEAN BROWN / BLACK FILLING RUSTIC / AEGEAN YELLOW / BLACK FILLING YAKAMOZ / GRAY FILLING YAKAMOZ / BLACK FILLING YAKAMOZ / BROWN FILLING SURFACE TISSUE WIRE CUT 30 SMOOTH STRIPED RUSTIC ROCK FACED 31 CLADDING BRICK SERIES CLADDING BRICK APPLICATION CONDITIONS Cladding bricks must be protected from the affects of rain and water in stocking area. The material that is thinned is sift with sieves of which pores are arranged, and separated as 3 different sized klinker powder CONSTRUCTION CHEMICALS DOĞANAY FLEX ADHESIVE The powerful sticking featured Doğanay Flex Adhesive, is a cemented based, polimer added and long life structure plaster. 1) The powder between 8 – 16 mm generally forms the lower layer. THE APPLICATION AREAS It is used to stuck covering materials such as the inner and outside of structures, KPS and EPS froth materials, covering brick, floor and wall covering, natural stones. 2) The powder between 4 – 8 mm is the main material and forms the middle – upper layer. 3) The powder between 0 – 4 mm is used on the top layer as a binder. THE SURFACE PREPARATION AND MIXTURE The surfaces, on which Doğanay Flex Adhesive will be used, must be cleaned and purified from oil and paint. Broken, cracked and destroyed surfaces must be repaired beforehand. Into a vessel where there is clean and cold water, Doğanay Flex Adhesive is poured down slowly and must be mixed with a low rotation mixer or a throwel until it gains a homogeny thickness. While preparing the mixture the ball forming must be prevented. The homogeny mixture is mixed again after 5-10 minute o resting. The prepared plaster must be used before it loses its effectiveness This material is also used for the production of mortar which is called “Horasan Mortar” and which is used for the restoration of historical artifacts. Klinker powder is used on athletics track, open tennis courts and racetracks. As it suits well with green grass, it is also used for the decorative purposes on the gardens of the houses. The amount of powder to be used depends on the width of the area (its square meter) and application thickness of the location that will be selected. Generally, it is observed that a thickness of 5 – 8 cm is preferred. You shouldn’t forget to compress it during application. Before the application, a quality powder should be selected which is fit for functional and decorative aspects. First of all, a quality powder shouldn’t dissolve in the water. For this reason, it should be produced from a kilned which has been kilned well and has high water absorption. The easiest way for this is to fill a glass of powder with water and let it wait for some time (at least 24 hours) and then see whether it has dissolved or not. Obviously, it should dissolve. Consequently, a good powder shouldn’t contain any foreign material. Coal powders and ashes in the coal corrupt the color, and they affect the binding quality badly. The klinker powders which are produced by our company are obtained from klinkers which are produced by using natural gas. For this reason, they don’t dissolve in the water, exhibit uniform klinker brick clor and doesn’t contain any foreign materials at all. APPLICATION Prepared plaster is applied to the surface and the surface is combed. Doğanay Flex Adhesive plaster is sticked on the behind surface of Doğanay Covering Brick with a throwel. The application thickness is between 3-10mm The prepared plaster must be used in 2-3 hours before it loses its effectiveness. If it loses then it must not be used with water and sand mixture adding.
