Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X Note: To install Microsoft Office 2016, you must be running at least OS X 10.10.x (Yosemite) 1) Log into your Duquesne email account at www.duq.edu/outlook 2) In the upper right hand corner, click the Gear icon and choose Office 365 Settings 3) Choose Install and Manage Software 4) Click Install 1 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 5) The Microsoft Office 2016 installer will be downloaded. Once the download finishes, double-click to run the installer 6) Click Continue 7) Click Continue. You will then be prompted to agree to the terms and conditions. If prompted for credentials, enter your computer username and password 2 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 8) Select the disk where you want to install Office 2016 and press Continue 9) Press Install 10)Once the installation completes, you will see the following message. Press Close 3 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 11) Word 2016 will automatically launch. Press Get started 12) Press Sign In 4 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 13) Enter your full Duquesne email account (include the @duq.edu) and press Next 14) Select Work Account. If prompted again, select Work or School Account 15) You will be taken to the Duquesne email sign in page. Sign in using your Multipass credentials 5 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 16) Choose your preferred Office theme and press Continue 17) Once the setup is complete, press Start Using Word 6 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 18) If prompted to grant access to the Custom Dictionary, press select 7 Installing Microsoft Office 2016 on OS X 19) You will be automatically directed to the Custom Dictionary. Press Grant Access. Setup is now complete for Microsoft Office 2016. 20) To create shortcuts for the remaining Office 2016 apps, click Finder > Applications. You can then drag and drop any Office 2016 programs to your Dock to create a shortcut. 8
