Description
BocasBabes located in Bocas del Toro in the carribean of Panama. We are an All girls SurfCamp. We 2 Dutch
surfergirls Ana and Esther live here in Bocas for almost 5 years. We love to surf and would like other girls to feel the
same experience as we when we surf these beautiful waves here in Bocas.
The surf classes will be organized by the local Mono Loco Surfschool who is the only ISA certified school in the
country. They stand for quality and experience. Combine that with your local surf babes coming with you on each
surf session and you are in for loads of fun and inspiration during your learning surf program.
We are surfer chicks and so we know what you need! The weekly program is set to surf, yoga, chill, learn, dance
and have fun to be experienced with a group of friends that you feel happy with having around. The competitive
attitude amongst surfers in the water is not what you will experience when joining a surf session with friends. It is
completely different amongst us women… less pressure and more fun!! We know!!!
Bocas town offers lots of great restaurants, a busy night life, and wonderful creative people. Their are many artists
and musicians living on this island. Besides all the natural beauty that you will see here we find this place to be one
of most interesting and exciting places in all of Central America.
And let’s not forget… it’s a surfers-heaven!! So many breaks, and still not so crowded. Warm water temperatures
and, with the right weather conditions, cristal clear water…

Surf conditions in the area
Surf season: July-August and December till April. We are so lucky with the surf conditions in Bocas! There are many
different spots around the islands to go to, mainly reef breaks and a few beach breaks. There are three specific
locations that are just perfect for learning, especially with longboards. And then there are several other breaks that
offer lots of fun and challenge for the more advanced surfer.
Area description
The archipelago of Bocas del Toro… it’s hard to express in words why this is such an amazing place to be. The
beauty of the different islands is overwhelming. The typical caribbean look and feel and the laid back people living
here. There is variety of wild life to be found, amazing birds, lazy sloths, cheeky monkeys and let’s not forget the
sea-life… dolphins, rays and turtles might just pass you by while looking out for the wave paddling around on your
surfboard!
These islands never go to sleep, there is always something to do. And for the peaceful and quiet traveler, there is
always a pristine spot to find to indulge yourself in nature’s beauty.
There is a mixture of people living here from Indiginous to Jamaican locals (and everything in between), to the
residents from all over the world and tourists visiting. Always someone interesting to meet! And very easy to help
yourself around even if you do not speak any Spanish.The climate is lovely! It doesn’t get cold and it doesn’t get
extremely hot either!! It does rain quiet frequently, that is why all the plants are so beautiful green and healthy all
around.
The waters are warm!! And amazing to surf. No suits are needed to keep your body temperature up. No brain
freeze when taking a duck dive!!
