The Mexico Farmers Market wants
to thank all their customers for their
patronage this season of locally grown
foods.
We are excited to announce our first
annual Christmas Market to be held
Dec. 11! This will be a Thursday evening event from 4-8 p.m. inside the
north section of the Orscheln building.
Items available will be baked goods,
candy, produce, meats, jams and jellies,
poinsettias, garden gifts, and handmade
crafts.
There will be gift items for everyone on your gift list! Our vendors have
already been busy on their craft items
getting ready for this community event.
There will also be entertainment and
of course . . . Santa Claus! Watch for
more details as the Christmas season
approaches!
Small Business
Saturday
Support your local merchants by
shopping Mexico on Small Business
Saturday held this year on November
29. Remember, for every $100 spent
in locally owned independent stores,
$68 returns to the community through
taxes, payroll and other expenditures.
If you spend that in a national chain,
only $43 stays here. Spend it online and
nothing comes home.
COMMUNITY SERVICE. Thank you to the Missouri Military Academy Cadets
who participated in Community Service on September 30 by cleaning the
Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce windows.
Stand and Be Counted!
Don’t forget to vote on November 4. It is
your right and responsibility as a citizen in our
great democracy to make your voice heard.
You have a vested interest in making your
opinions count and that your participation in
the important issues of the day will help shape
the community and nation we live in tomorrow.
One vote can and often does make a difference.

ACHD Releases Ebola Facts
Signs and symptoms of Ebola include severe headache, muscle pain, weakness,
diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, unexplained bleeding or bruising. These symptoms are not specific to Ebola and are seen in patients with more commonly occurring illnesses such as the flu
Since we are beginning the flu season and symptoms are similar the following
criteria should both be met before considering Ebola:
• Clinical criteria including fever and additional symptoms, and
• Epidemiologic risk factors within the past 21 days before symptom onset such as
residence in or travel to a country with widespread Ebola transmission or having
contact with a confirmed Ebola patient

###
A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every
address in the nation: 152 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no tax
dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. With
more than 31,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, usps.com, the
Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $65 billion and delivers nearly 40 percent of the world's mail. If it were
a private-sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 42nd in the 2012 Fortune 500. The Postal Service has
been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for seven years and the fourth Most Trusted Business in the
nation by the Ponemon Institute.
