The Mountain Adventure is for children ages
9-15 who are ready to hit the slopes with a qualified
instructor. With lessons in the morning
and afternoon, there’s plenty of time to practice
and have lunch in-between. Rates include lift tickets,
rental and lessons. Space in class is limited,
advance reservations are required.

The Canaan Cub Club is the perfect place for young
children to learn how to ski with kids their own age and
ability (age 5-8). Children will learn to move through the
snow with qualified instructors. Rates include lift tickets,
rental, and lessons. Space in class is limited, advance
reservations are required.
Snow Tubing
One of the most popular places at the resort is the Tube
Park, where guests grab specially designed riding tubes and
slide down 600 foot lanes. A handle-tow pulls you to the
top of the hill. Fun for ages 4 and up. Minimum 42” height
requirement.

Canaan Valley Resort offers one of the premier ski
locations in the Mid-Atlantic for newcomers to the
sport. Over 30% of our terrain is dedicated to beginners
and Timber Trail is a guest favorite (1.25 miles long).
Group and private lessons are available. *Minimum age

Airboarding
Airboarding is a high-tech twist on traditional winter
sledding. Similar to riding a bodyboard in the ocean, the
Airboard is inflatable and has grooves on the underside
that allow riders to make sharp turns and stop quickly
in the snow. Airboarding doesn’t require a lot of
equipment and it’s very easy to learn.

A covered, outdoor ice skating rink overlooking the
valley and the Allegheny Mountains gives skaters a
