IMPORTANT CONVERSION INFORMATION
Will Your Accounts Be Affected?
We will be updating our core processor and some of our services at the
end of January. Read below to learn about the steps to take before,
during and after the updates to make the transition as smooth as
possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Conversion Dates, Closure & Downtime
The conversion and updates will begin on Friday,
January 29, 2016 and will wrap up on Monday,
February 1, 2016. Our branches and drive-thrus
will be closed on Saturday. We will resume normal
business hours on Monday, February 1st. Mobile
Banking, Online Banking, Bill Pay and 24/7 Phone System will be down
starting at 6pm on January 29th and will be available again starting at
6am on February 1st.
Online Banking
Once Online Banking comes back online (6am on
February 1st) you will need to re-register using your
social security number and date of birth. Once this
information is validated you will receive either an
email or text message (based on your selection during
the registration process) with a six digit passcode. You will need this six
digit passcode to complete the registration process.
24/7 Phone System (ARU)
24/7 Phone System will be down starting at 6pm
January 29th and will be back online at 6am February
1st. Once back online, you’ll notice a number of
changes. The menu will be different, you will need to
recreate your password and the share and loan ID #s
will change. You will need to re-register with your account number, the
last four digits of your social security number and date of birth.

Bill Pay
Bill Pay will not be available January 28th, 29th, 30th
and 31st. Any bills scheduled to be paid during this
time will need to be scheduled to be paid prior to the
blackout dates. Otherwise, they will be processed
when we are back online. Scheduled transfers will be shut down at
12pm on January 29th, so no scheduled transfers will be processed on
the 30th or 31st. Once Bill Pay is back online, you’ll have access to your
Bill Pay History and your Payee info will be converted to the new system.
However, scheduled transfers and alerts will need to be reset.
In anticipation of the conversion, no new bill pay enrollments will be
accepted between January 26th and February 1st.
Debit/Credit Cards
Debit cards will be active and continue to work during
conversion. However, some daily limits will apply to
debit card activity. Credit Cards will be active and
continue to work during the conversion based on
your normal available credit limit. Some credit card
payments may be delayed during the conversion.
Important Access Information-Online Banking
and ARU
Each person will need to register individually
(whether member or joint) for access to Online
Banking and ARU. Any and all accounts associated
with the individual will be displayed when accessing
Online Banking and available when visiting the ARU. The credit
union does not recommend the sharing of user names, passwords,
or PINs
The system changes being implemented will significantly enhance
the strength of InvesTex Credit Union operations, improve both
the quality and speed of service to members, and provide the
technology necessary for a growing and successful credit union.

Corporate Office Update
The construction on the new corporate office/branch is well underway. The building is derived
out of the continued growth and success of InvesTex Credit Union. The new office and fullservice branch with drive-thru lanes will be located off
the 1960 Bypass in Humble, just west of Highway 59/
Interstate 69, between Lee Road and Kenswick Road.
The current branch at 905 Aldine Bender will
continue operations even after the new corporate
office and branch are opened.

Annual Meeting & Election Notice
InvesTex Credit Union will hold its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 7:00pm. The
Annual Meeting will be held at the M.O. Campbell Center (Aldine ISD) which is located at 1865 Aldine
Bender Road, Houston, Texas 77032.
This year, there are five positions open for election on the Board of Directors. A Nominating
Committee, appointed by the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, has nominated one member for
each Board position to be filled. The five positions, the terms for each position and the five nominees
are as follows:

A brief statement of qualifications and biographical data for each of the nominees is included with
this notice.
Further nominations may be made by official petition signed by 271 eligible members. Official
petitions, Director Application and Agreement to Serve, and the Rules and Instructions for the
Completion of the Official Petition may be obtained by contacting the Credit Union President
located at 905 Aldine Bender, Houston, Texas 77032, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Official petitions must be completed in full compliance with the election rules as
set forth in the rules and instructions for the completion of the official petition and must include
each signer’s signature and printed name, the last 4 digits of the signer’s member number, and the
signer’s complete address and telephone number. Members who are 18 years of age or older and
who meet certain requirements under the Texas Finance Code and Regulations of the Texas Credit
Union Commission are eligible for election. Official petitions must be accompanied by a signed
statement from the nominee that he or she is agreeable to the nomination and will accept office if
elected and should also include a brief statement of qualifications and biographical data. Elected
officials are legally responsible for the fiscal integrity of the Credit Union and for compliance with
State and Federal laws.
Official petitions and the Director Application and
Agreement to Serve form must be filed with the
Secretary of the Board of Directors at the Credit Union
office which is located at 905 Aldine Bender, Houston,
TX 77032, by 4 p.m. on February 19, 2016, which is the
closing date for receiving nominations by petition. If
no official petitions are received by 4 p.m. on February
19, 2016, there will be no election by ballot and no
nominations from the floor. When only one member
is nominated for each position to be filled, each
nominee shall be deemed elected by general consent
or acclamation. If there is more than one nominee for
any position, the election shall be by mail ballot and the
Secretary of the Board of Directors shall cause printed
ballots to be mailed to members eligible to vote. In such
event, the election shall be determined by plurality vote.

Board of Director Nominees
Jim Woodward holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business
Administration from Ohio State University. He was a First Lieutenant with
the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jim was District Personnel Manager
and District Operations Manager of 52 National Convenient Stores for seven
years, Regional Personnel Manager for 110 Ralston Purina’s Jack in the Box
restaurants, Division Personnel Manager for PepsiCo’s Pizza Hut restaurants,
Personnel Manager at Fiesta for 9 years and currently the Director of Area
Operations for 14 Fiesta Marts. Jim served on the Associates Mutual Credit
Union board for 25 years and has served on the InvesTex board since 2010.
Dorothea Pickens holds a Masters of Educational Administration
and Special Education Degree from Prairie View A&M University and
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Special
Education from the University of Arkansas. Before retirement, Dorothea
was employed with Aldine ISD as Principal of Vines EC/Pre-K School.
She is presently employed with Dayna International, Inc – Washington
D.C. as a Head Start Reviewer/Consultant. Dorothea has served on the
board since 1995; she currently serves as the board Secretary and Chair
of the Supervisory Committee.
Teresa Dossman holds a Masters Degree from Sam Houston State
and a Bachelors Degree from Southwest Texas State. Teresa is retired
from Spring ISD as Executive Director for Curriculum Design and is
a Professional Seminar Speaker for the Skill Path Seminars Group,
an Educational Consultant, and owner of BrainWorks Educational
Consulting LLC. Teresa is a Licensed Real Estate Agent with Better
Homes and Gardens Gary Greene. Teresa has served on the board since
2007.
Stephen Havemann is a long time credit union member joining
StarTrust Federal Credit Union in 1990 and serving as a volunteer board
member for 22 years. He has held board and committee positions
including Co-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, ACLO Committee, and
Supervisory Committee. Stephen has a BBA in Accounting from
Stephen F Austin and holds a CPA, CGMA and CITP certificates from the
AICPA. Stephen is a retired Information Technology professional last
serving as CIO of a healthcare service company.
Phyllis Kennedy started her Credit Union volunteering with StarTrust
FCU, where she served over 25 years until the merger with InvesTex
Credit Union. Phyllis held many positions over the years with Start Trust
FCU including Co-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, Marketing Committee
Chair, ALCO committee chair and Compensation committee. Phyllis was
appointed to the InvesTex Credit Union Board Position 8 in July 2015.
Prior to that time she served 2 years on the Advisory Committee with
InvesTex and later joined the ALM committee. She currently serves on
the ALM and compensation committee. Phyllis is a CPA and received a
BS in accountancy from Sam Houston State University. She is employed
at Sirius Solutions as a Management Consultant.

Security Corner
ATM Safty Tips
Throughout the new year and beyond, InvesTex Credit Union urges you to exercise
caution when using an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM); especially at night. Follow
these basic guidelines to protect yourself:
• Memorize your PIN and never reveal it to anyone.
• Keep your card in a safe place, as you would cash
or credit cards. Notify InvesTex immediately if
your ATM/Debit Card is lost or stolen.
• Utilize an ATM located inside an open business
whenever possible.
• Choose a well-lit ATM for evening transactions
and park nearby or stay in your car if you use the
drive-thru. If you do not feel secure, use another ATM.
• Have your card out and ready to use before leaving your car.
• Always be aware of suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of the ATM. Trust
your gut feeling. If things don’t feel right, avoid that ATM.
• If others are waiting to use the ATM, be sure you enter your PIN out of their view.
• When you receive your cash, pocket it immediately and count it later in a safe
place. Remember the money is not worth getting hurt over.
• Always take your receipt with you.
• Do not discuss your accounts with anyone.
• Report all robberies to police as soon as possible by calling 911.

InvesTex Scholarship Announcement
The Board of Directors has once again approved the
awarding of six $1,000 Scholarships, one of which has
been recently named after a long-time Board Member
and his wife. We’re proud to present, for the inaugural
year, the Ellis and Clydene Scholarship. The Board
and all of us at InvesTex recognize the importance
of higher education. We are proud to make these
scholarships available. Here are the requirements and
application information for the scholarships:
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
• Applicants must be a primary member of InvesTex Credit Union. A primary member is
defined as a credit union member with a share/savings account established in his/her
own name.
• Applicants’ accounts must be in good standing.
• Applicants must be a high school senior.
• Applicants must plan on attending an accredited college, community college,
university, or technical school.
• InvesTex Credit Union full-time employees, Board Members, and their immediate family
are not eligible for consideration.
• Applications are available online at InvesTexCU.org and at any InvesTex location.
• Return completed application by March 11, 2016 to InvesTex Credit Union, Attention:
