The entry fee is $175 per golfer (fair value $110 per
golfer), and must accompany the entry form. It is not
necessary to enter as part of a foursome. The entry fee covers:
green fees, motorized cart, lunch buffet, and dinner buffet/
social immediately after the round during the awards presentations.

Purpose
The “Camper-Scamper” golf tournament is a fun day with a
meaningful purpose. Proceeds from the tournament are
used to provide youth from low income families with a
YMCA summer day camp experience or other YMCA programs at the MN Valley Family YMCA. The YMCA has a
focus of healthy lifestyles, life enrichment, and youth development. These programs address critical needs in our community like affordable child care, water safety, health disparities, and school success. More than $500,000 in
assistance was awarded in 2009 to aid families in difficult
situations that prevented their children from participating in
programs addressing these needs.
Format
This is a “Scramble” event for men and women. In a
scramble, each golfer hits a ball from the tee. One of the
tee shots is chosen as the lie for the second shot. The other
balls are picked up and played from the chosen lie (within 1
club unless on the green). The same procedure is followed
on subsequent shots until one ball is in the hole. The team
score for each hole is the number of strokes for the first ball
which goes in the cup. A complete set of rules will be provided on the day of the tournament. Play will begin with a
shotgun start at 1:00 PM. Golfers should be ready 45 minutes before play begins. Tournament limited to the first
120 entries received.

A pre-tournament lunch will be available from 11:45 to
12:45.
Golfers should report to the registration area upon arrival.
Locker rooms are available for changing.
A Dinner Buffet and awards social will be held
immediately following the tournament
Prizes will be awarded to top finishers. There will also be merchandise prizes,
drawings and other fun events throughout the tournament.
All proceeds benefit the MN Valley Family YMCA programs and
services for youth in the south metro area.

Kids learn to swim, play sports, and learn crucial values
like caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Families are supported, create memories, and are
enriched.
The Minnesota Valley YMCA is part of the YMCA of
Metropolitan Minneapolis which is one of the largest nonprofit social service agencies in our metropolitan region.
We are volunteer-driven and led, and we respond to the
needs of our local communities by serving boys, girls,
men and women of all ages, backgrounds, ethnic
groups, and faiths.
Through its 140+ year history, the YMCA of Metropolitan
Minneapolis has had a rich tradition of providing youth
development and community programming in Minneapolis and surrounding communities. We offer a wide-range
of programs and activities, including health & fitness,
aquatics, youth development, child care, and camps.
Our reach and impact can be seen in the tens of
thousands of lives we touch every year as we serve well
over 100,000 individuals through memberships, program
offerings, and camps.
The Minnesota Valley YMCA has been serving the south
metro area since 1970. With more than 500,000 annual
visits to our facility and countless others at offsite program locations our impact is significant. There is no part
of our community that is not affected in some way by the
work of the YMCA.
