Black Eyelash Line up the 45° angle on the ruler with the tip edge of set 1. Trim the edge as shown in Figure 1. After trimming the edge cut 4 - 113/16" segments as shown in Figure 2. Use a ruler grided in 1/16" or use the cutting guide on page 5. Repeat for set 2 and 3. Trim the edge of set 1R as shown in Figure 3. Continue cutting as shown in Figure 4. Cut 4 - 113/16" segments. Pin to make sure the center seams align perfectly. Press seams toward the direction of the arrows. Press Center Seams Open Cut 8 - 17/8" wide strips. Sew 2 - 17/8" x 42" strips together to make one long strip. Make a total of 4 long strips. Cut 2 of the long strips down to measure 17/8" x 733/4" long. Sew to top and bottom of quilt. Cut remaining two strips down to measure 17/8" x 761/2" and sew to the sides of the quilt. 3rd Border (Fabric 6) 51/2" Cut 9 - 51/2" wide strips. 21" 21" Cut one of the 51/2" x 42" strips in half to make 2 - 21" half strips. Sew 2 - 51/2" x 42" strips together to make one long strip. Make 2 total. Cut down to measure 51/2" x 761/2". Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt. Cut one of the 51/2" x 42" strips in half to make 2 - 51/2" x 21" strips. Sew 2 - 51/2" x 42" and 1 - 51/2" x 21" strips together to make one long strip. Kit Note - Page 7/Border Fabric Cutting & Construction If you have purchased a kit from Jinny Beyer Studio, the fabrics used in the borders are furnished in lengthwise yardage that allows you to assemble the borders without piecing the strips from WOF cuts. Please adjust the directions to the following dimensions: 1st Border (Fabric 6). Cut four strips 4¼" x 66½". 2nd Border (Fabric 10). Cut two strips 17/8" x 74¾", and two strips 17/8" x 76½". 3rd Border (Fabric 6). Cut two strips 5½" x 76½" and two strips 5½" x 86½". 4th Border (Fabric 10). Cut two strips 17/8" x 86½", and two strips 17/8" x 89¼".
