It is an evening to see how lives are transformed and empowered by our programs. It is a joy to meet these celebrated women and to wish them well in their endeavors and look forward to hearing that we played a part in their success. The Soroptimist Board of Directors has reviewed the region finalists and has selected the top entry in each of the four categories. The four federation finalists will be announced during the Soroptimists Stars in Action Lunch on July 21. I will be there, joined by Eileen Conner, Linda Kinslow and Patti Cullen to represent YOU! The description of YOUR participation in the Club Survey, YOUR attendance at the Open Forums where you shared ideas, gave suggestions and how we executed on those ideas was the focus for our Membership Category of these Awards. We hope you will join us again for the Open Forums, June 14 and 15. See inside for details. Checks in the amount of $110 should be made out to SIIR and will be collected at the June dinner meeting. SIA charges a $10 late fee/re-instatement fee so kindly submit your dues payment before the deadline. ON YOUR FEET Broadway Trippers Please remember your deposit for the New York Trip on June 1, 2016 to see On Your Feet, The Gloria Estefan Story. The cost of the trip is $195 which includes the lunch at Carmine's, orchestra ticket, bus, and tip for the driver. (The deposit is $100 at our June meeting and the balance is due at our September meeting) The date is Wednesday, October 12th. The Soroptimissle Page 4 VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION AT PEARL BUCK HOUSE On Monday, May 9th, seven ladies, all of whom worked on the Christmas tree at Pearl Buck house, attended a volunteer appreciation luncheon in the outside tent area on the grounds. DESIGNER HOUSE The Village Improvement Association (VIA) would like to thank these Soroptimist Indian Rock members who served as hosts at this year’s Designer House.
