We are a central London venue providing
period rooms with a contemporary
twist for conference and meetings.
Located close to Whitehall the Grade II
building has stunning views of the
Thames and London’s iconic landmarks
including; The London Eye, Big Ben
and The Houses of Parliament.
HORSE GUARDS
History
In March 1884, property speculator
Jonathan Carr obtained a 95-year lease
on a piece of land overlooking the
Victoria Embankment. The site was in
a prime position, well within walking
distance of the numerous government
buildings at Whitehall and had unrivalled
views across the river Thames.
At the time he acquired the land, Carr was one of London’s most successful developers
but his plans for Whitehall were to eclipse anything he had done before. Carr envisaged
creating a monumental apartment block, the likes of which London had never seen
before. Built in the French Renaissance style and reaching a height of 100ft, the enormous
edifice would run 600ft along the edge of the Embankment Gardens, creating an
elegant new focal point for this part of the Thames vista. Inside, enormous apartments
would provide graceful residences for the cream of society. The extraordinary building
would be named Whitehall Court, in which One Horse Guards resides today.

Architecture &
Sophistication
With high, ornate ceilings and large windows, the rooms at
One Horse Guards add an impressive backdrop for any type
of meeting. Once guests have arrived at the striking reception
area they will be escorted to either The Whitehall Suite
situated on the ground floor, or upstairs to The Jubilee Suite.

A damage deposit of £1,000 (private) /
£1,500 (corporate) is payable and returnable
after the event subject to damages.
Please note that guest times can be any time from
08:00 arrival until post-conference guest departure.

We understand that you may need some additional
items for your event, so do not hesitate to contact
a team member for a quote on AV, furniture or
for anything else you think you may need.
If you need access earlier in the day to bring
in additional equipment, timings can be
discussed with your venue Manager.

from One Dining
One Dining is the resident caterer at One Horse
Guards and are on hand to help with all catering
requirements for your conference or meeting.
Our menus are designed to ensure guests are well
fed with simple, wholesome, elegant food allowing
the events to run as seamlessly as possible. Whether
we’re catering for conferences or working breakfasts,
standing lunches, receptions or formal dinners there
is plenty of choice to suit all tastes and budgets.

We have a fantastic British chef who specialises in
creating delicious seasonal menus, using the best of
British produce. His passion for sourcing new ingredients
from small local producers ensures his menus continue
to evolve and keep clients coming back for more.

Embankment (Circle and District) and is a 5 minutes’ walk
away. Westminster (Circle, District and Jubilee) and Charing
Cross (Northern, Bakerloo, South Eastern Main Line) are both
approximately 10 minutes’ walk away. Barclays Cycle Hire
docking is located one minute away on Victoria Embankment.
