Why Does a High Quality Educational Preschool Program Matter? Kids R Kids of Liberty Field Named Pre-K Center of Excellence. Based on the statewide Kindergarten Readiness System (KRS) methodology, the Texas Education Agency (TEA), in partnership with Regional Education Service Center (ESC) 17 has given Kids R Kids its most recent award: Pre-K Center of Excellence. The purpose of the KRS system is to measure and recognize the effective practices already in place in Pre-K programs and the impact these practices have on student achievement. When children begin learning with the best possible educational experience, it gives them a superior education start. In the past, most people believed that children should start their educational experience in Kindergarten. Today, we know that waiting to start school in Kindergarten puts children behind their peers educationally and adds the extra strain of trying to play “catch-up.” We strive to deliver the highest quality of education to our students. Due to the exceptional standards we place on our Early Childhood Education Programs, we have received numerous awards this past year for our outstanding accomplishments in this area. Dear Parents: Please do not park in the pass-through lane in front of our building (the lane farthest from the building.) When someone parks there, it stops the flow of traffic for parents who want to pull through to the other side and park. We’ve had some parents voice concern over this and would like to make drop-off and pick-up as convenient as we can for ALL parents. Thanks in advance for your cooperation! 1 2 3 Random Acts of Kindness: Teaching Your Child to Pay it Forward A random act of kindness does not have to be a major production. Kindness comes in many different shapes and sizes – and it is free. Teach your kids by doing, but also plan some actions with your child. Talk about nice things that you can do for others.
