23 August 2016 Hwa Chong Institution Team 2, winners of the Amazing Lab Race 2016 Champs of the Amazing Lab Race 2016 - Hwa Chong Institution Team 2 - receiving the Challenge Plaque and book vouchers from Professor Victor Shim, Vice Dean (External Relations and Outreach). This year’s champs, Hwa Chong Institution Team 2, took home the Challenge Plaque, which will stay in the “hall of fame” of their school for a year till the next champion takes them away, plus $625 worth of book vouchers. Organised by the Ministry of Education and NUS Engineering, the Amazing Lab Race is an annual lab-based event. Each team is required to complete six compulsory tasks at six labs located at different venues in NUS Engineering. The race, in its eleventh year, saw 15 teams from 9 schools participating, including Hwa Chong Institution, which was the defending champion from last year. More pictures below. After registration, the hyped up team from Hwa Chong Institution Team 1 strategising their way to winning. Before the action starts, the students are briefed on the programme, and rules and regulations. NUS_High_TeamA having a go at measuring their fellow team mates’ ECG reading.
