Area Assessment
To take advantage of the waterfront location and its close proximity to the Aberdeen South
Typhoon Shelter, the area is primarily used as shipyards together with some workshops
(Plan A3). The shipyards have been in existence for more than two decades. Although
they are considered not compatible with the adjoining residential developments, there are
practical difficulties in their relocation. Subject to identification of suitable reprovisioning
site(s), the area should be retained as “I”.
Recommendation
To retain the area as “I”.
