Growing the JDS Family...Baby Announcements
And then there were two...
Growing the JDS Family
After Maricris and Justin changed their minds about an abortion and chose life for their
son, Tristan, their fortunes changed drastically and they were able to build a new life far
Hispanic Pro Life Training away from the Tenderloin district that brought them to despair. Often choosing life for
one child will lead to choosing life for the next. They are happy to announce the birth of
their second child, a precious daughter, named Sophia Bella Rose. Justin and Maricris
“Choice” Isn’t the Reason.. will share their remarkable journey from a dark past to a bright future at our upcoming
banquet in October.

Another Abortion Pill Reversal Baby…beautiful and healthy
We joyfully announce the birth of our latest reversal baby, a beautiful little girl whose
identity parents have opted to remain undisclosed. She was welcomed by her loving parents who regretted taking the abortion pill and called the Reversal hotline. The abortion
industry has become increasingly alarmed over the successful reversal cases coming to
light, debunking the marvelous discovery of Dr George Delgado and Dr Mary Davenport
by calling it "junk science". This precious little girl who was born beautiful and perfectly
healthy proves that the Abortion Pill Reversal is, indeed, a priceless gift to the world. Our
center was privileged to have been a part of mentoring her parents through their anxious
moments early in the pregnancy. Women are told by the abortion industry that once the
initial dose, RU486 pill (mifepristone) is ingested, there is no turning back. This birth
once again proves them wrong.

Hispanic Pro-Life Training
The Hispanic Outreach Ministry for our St. Juan Diego Women's Center offered
a unique Hispanic Sidewalk Counseling training session in SJ at Our Lady
of Peace in Santa Clara. It was open to anyone who was interested in not only
learning the techniques of approaching women outside the abortion facilities but
also receiving crossover training that pregnancy centers offer to women. They
would also learn how to effectively counsel a mother until she is safely at a
center in the manner that a pregnancy counselor would.
The training was provided by two Hispanic members, Felis Enriquez and
Felis Enriquez and
Patty Vasquez
Patricia Vasquez, of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee, a diocesan ministry from
Dallas, Texas that has saved more than 7800 babies since 1997 and saw the numbers of abortion centers drop from 13 to
2 since 1990. This Committee was commissioned in 1993 by Bishop Charles Grahmann of the Diocese of Dallas, Texas
and has continued under Bishop Kevin Farrell since 2007. It was the first diocesan respect-life ministry that included
sidewalk counseling as one of it's nine pro-life ministries. The CPLC has been called the largest and most effective
diocesan pro-life organization in the world and a model for the nation.
Our dynamic presenters had the privilege of training almost 50 people that felt the need to go beyond praying outside the
abortion facilities to approaching men and women with brochures to show them that there are resources that offer real
help for their unplanned pregnancies. The 2nd day offered training outside the abortion facilities. While praying and
counseling outside the abortion facility in Mountain View, some of the volunteers witnessed a van from a laboratory
drop off a technician carrying a cooler. It wasn't a surprise when recent news would expose a PP medical director openly
speaking about their other macabre “humanitarian” service of harvesting fetal organs for sale.
Seventeen people showed up the next day at the PP on Alum Rock to observe Felis and Patricia "at work" approaching
men and women with information that offered practical help and information on what an abortion is, development of the
unborn baby, the places like our Juan Diego center where mothers can get real help. Some of the volunteers felt
comfortable enough to hand out literature. One could feel the joy and the spiritual energy that morning which was
present on the sidewalks that day.
Many post-aborted mothers have said that they would never have chosen to abort had just one person been out there to
offer her hope. This is the reason why many pro-life advocates have felt called to stand in the heat, the rain and the cold
to offer their love and compassion, never judgment, to the pregnant women who are confused and alone. It is the greatest
act of charity.

Putting the training into practice
“ Choice” Isn’t the Reason Pregnant Women Consider an Abortion, This is
NATIONAL TEXAS RIGHT TO LIFE
The U.K.’s Alliance of Pro-Life Students (APS) released an eye-opening perspective piece
written by a pregnancy center volunteer who has interacted with hundreds of women seeking
abortions. Her experience shatters common perceptions painted by the abortion movement,
which suggest that virtually all women who undergo abortions do so as an exercise of their
own free will and rights. On the contrary, according to APS’s anonymous guest blogger, “the
word ‘choice’ is often the last word a woman in a crisis pregnancy feels applies to her when
she’s looking for an abortion.”
The volunteer enumerates the many reasons that motivate women to seek abortion. Indeed compelling, the reasons indicate that these women are certainly in crisis. But not, the volunteer explains, because they are pregnant. Rather, the
crisis is the reaction of those closest in their lives to the news. “The crisis,” she says, “is the fact that her workplace is
prejudiced against pregnant women, or that she feels she has to do what her partner says, or that she is not financially
stable, or that her boyfriend won’t commit, or that she is in an abusive relationship, or that she is being threatened with
homelessness.”
Pregnancy magnifies these tragedies in the woman’s life, and the natural conclusion for many is that by eliminating the
preborn child, the crisis will go away. In reality, the crisis remains without the child who seems to be exacerbating her
ordeal. The writer shares the story of a woman who was utterly under the control of her child’s father. He had the
power to have her deported or ejected penniless onto the streets. “She was completely dependent on him and he was
physically and emotionally abusive,” the volunteer shared.
But forcing the woman to abort her child proved to be an effortless endeavor for the abusive man; he took her from the
pregnancy center to the abortion mill, and the child was dead within hours of their encounter. Abortion is portrayed as a
woman’s right – an inviolable badge of her autonomy and freedom. And yet, every day countless women are forced and
coerced into unwanted abortions, and the abortionists who operate under the auspices of “women’s rights” do absolutely
nothing to counteract these disasters. “Silent complicity with abusive boyfriends is not what feminism has fought for,”
said the volunteer.
While U.S. pregnancy resource centers have come under intense attack by the anti-life movement in recent years, they
are needed now more than ever. If this is the era of feminism – equality of the sexes – pregnancy resource centers are
the hallmark of that age. Pregnancy centers are a singular refuge offering real compassion and concern without Big
Abortion’s profit-driven tactics, which only come to fruition in the suctioning of children from their mothers’
wombs. “Women in the 21st Century should not feel they have to enter this secret world where ‘their mistake’ can be
‘fixed’, no questions asked,” the volunteer concludes. “They should feel that those who are putting pressure on them will
be held accountable and that they have control over their lives.”
