They are remembered as a quiet couple whose names we always tended to link together. They loved their church family, especially their Life Group involvement. Charles passed away on June 29, only six months after Barbara’s death. We honor his memory and express our appreciation to God for His promise of eternal life. CHILDREN PRAYERS & PRAISES Baptism Emerson Turner, daughter of Dave and Mashea, was baptized on June 26. We rejoice with her and her family. Sympathy Charles Weber passed away Wednesday, June 29. The graveside service was on Thursday, June 30. Play Days in the Gym Please note there is no play on Friday, July 15. Brad Treat, cousin of Julie Maples, passed away last week in Montana. We extend our sympathy and prayers to Julie and all the family. Teacher Recruiting for 2016/17 We are well underway recruiting teachers for birth through 6th grade classes. We need Sunday morning and Wednesday night teachers for three different sessions. Be praying about this opportunity to share our love of the Father with these children. Sign the board in the Kids' Koncierge to reserve your spot. Children’s Worship We are recruiting hosts and volunteers for our worship gatherings in the fall. Parents of participants are encouraged to sign up at least once during the year. Seniors: We need permission from your parents for you to drive to camp (or ride with another senior) next week. Send written permission to Ayesha. Prayer Concerns Sandra Hardison had thyroid and parathyroid surgery Wednesday at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Bridal Tea Sunday, July 24, 2-3:30pm in the Tea Room All ladies are invited to a bridal tea for Chandler Cooper, fiancée of Tyson Ashcraft, son of Steve and Teresa Ashcraft. Registries: Pottery Barn, Target, Anthropologie, Bed Bath & Beyond Daniel Smelser, son of Phyllis Smelser, was hospitalized last week at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital due to a tick bite. Moses provides us with a unique glimpse of the interchange between God and man played out over the course of a lifetime. The story narrated from Exodus to Deuteronomy reminds us that every man’s life goes through seasons. Moses provides a mirror to help you appreciate and live into the season that you are currently in and a lens through which to see the life station of men whose story is taking shape a generation or two ahead of or behind yours. WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY - Community Room God long ago implanted unique gifts and dreams inside each of our hearts so that we may display His glory here on earth. Sometimes, our insecurities, suffering, or our own wandering from the Lord causes us to forget or shy away from those passions. Using the story of Joseph as our guide, we encourage each other to walk in the fullness of Christ and all that He has for us. This July, we’re taking the month out! If you are interested in learning how to apply the Love of God to your relationships with family, friends, yourself, and even your enemies, then join us as we study the process of becoming a New Creation. This class focuses on various passages and stories in the Old and New Testaments that tell the story of God’s redemptive Love for us, His beloved.
