The growing season has gone well this year, and we hope the harvest will show the bulbs have ‘sized up’ well. Deep red recurved flowers are edged in gold, shading into white margins, and the throat shows the same dramatic colour pattern. Bred by Judith Freeman in the USA, this Orienpet has up to 3 flowers on a pedicel, opening successively to extend flowering. This unique lilium has no pollen and is one of the longest lasting Oriental liliums, there appear to be two forms of flower shape. Enormous golden yellow flowers with wide petalled perfect form. The colour holds well in hot weather, and its refreshing sweet fragrance fills the garden. Spectacular white flowers, intensely crimson pink throat, shading out to broad white margins and tips, not spotted. The petals are slightly recurved at tips.
