Christ Church —King & Queen Parish News Thursday, August 18, 2016 In the Episcopal Diocese of Washington Back to School Again... Blessings For a New School Year! This Sunday, August 21st we pray for a successful and happy 2016-2017 school year. We ask God’s blessings on all students, parents, teachers, aids, bus drivers, custodians, administrators, support staff, and all who contribute to the education of our young people. We will bless backpacks/school bags at both services. A small gift will be given to each child as a way to start the new school year. Teachers and all who work in an educational settings are invited to come and receive a blessing also! Youth Feedback and Conversation Night Many thanks to the youth, young adults, and parents who came to our gathering and those who provided me additional feedback since then. Our conversation confirmed that youth and parents are generally happy with how their spiritual needs are being met at Christ Church. There is an expressed interest in expanding FNSS to every Friday night and also to find more outreach opportunities to participate in. We are all looking forward to a rich and rewarding 2016-2017 program year! Fr.
