campaign to encourage residents of New Hope and surrounding

New Hope Businesses
New Hope has a thriving business community of approximately 420 businesses, with an almost equal
number of industrial and retail businesses.
New Hope has three clusters of retail businesses including the City Center area near the intersection of
Winnetka and 42nd Avenues, the Winnetka Commons area near the intersection of Winnetka and 36th
Avenues, and the Midland Center area near the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Medicine Lake Road.
The city also has two industrial areas: west of Boone Avenue from 49th Avenue to Bass Lake Road and much
of the land east of Winnetka along the Canadian Pacific Railroad line between 32nd and 51st Avenue.
New Hope’s employers provide a significant number of jobs. The 2000 US Census indicated that there are
12,900 jobs located in New Hope. The estimated daytime population of New Hope is 21,587.

Outstanding Business Award
The New Hope City Council accepts nominations for the Outstanding Business Award quarterly. The
purpose of the New Hope Outstanding Business Award program is to recognize businesses for noteworthy
accomplishments such as expanding or improving a building or property, creating new jobs for New Hope
residents, reaching a milestone year in business, or providing outstanding community service.
Any local business person or resident may nominate a company for the award. To download a nomination
