The largest markets are Pindaya and Nan Pan. The following markets are open on a rotation
basis being that of Yatsauk, Pindaya, Naung Shwe, Ho Pon, Moe Nae, Lal Char, Mai Kai, Mai
Youn, See Sein (comes under Pindaya group). Heho, Taunggyi, Nan Pan, Naing Mon, Loi Lin,
Aung Ban, San Yin, Kalaw (comes under Nan Pan group). The following markets are open 5 days a week ie Indein, main Thawk, Than taung,
Yang To. Hairya, Ywa Ma Zay is a floating market and is open daily.

Recommended car route is Yangon-Taunggyi-Kyaington. On the way, one passes through Nam Sam, Loi Lin, Kon Hein, Main
Pyin and can witness and experience various tribes and their cultures like Wa, Lahu, Palaung and Shan.Before arriving at Kyaington, one
has to negotiate many dangerous mountainous winding roads, so special care should be given when driving. In order to view the whole
of Kyaington, one needs to climb up the Thit Thabin mountain top. There is a significant tree named the Kanyin Phyu Bin where even 10
people coming together is insufficient to hold the trunk. The cottage weaving industry in the Inle area in the Southern Shan State is famous
for the lotus robes. The famous Inle lake is located in this part and it is a tourist attraction. The Inle Phaungdawoo Pagoda Festival is well
known and there are many boat race competitions of the one-legged rowers. Kaku Pagodas are ancient places in the Shan State. Pindaya
limestone caves consists of thousands of Buddha images.
