About The
Band
100 watt jones is a 6 piece band that covers the best
rock and roll around the Twin Cities Metro area. 100 watt jones has 2
guitars, bass drums, keys and sax; all members share in vocals. This
band definitely gets the crowd moving. Rich harmonies and full
instrumentation allow 100 watt jones to form a distinctive sound all their own.
100 watt jones’s members are seasoned veterans of many different Minnesota bands.
They came together because of a strong desire to cover uniquely familiar songs with an
emphasis on vocal harmonies and dance oriented Rock-N-Roll. Everyone will know the
tunes the band plays and can easily sing and dance along!
Peter “Lightning” Jones
Lead Guitar/Keys/Vocals
Musical Background: Peter began playing for
local dance bands at a young age. Band names
include Speed Limit, Pandora, Opus, The
Blondes, Rocking Horse, Sally Be Nice and
Ragged Radio.
Non-Musical Interests: Playing hockey,
fundraising for Batten Disease, carpentry,
hydroengineering, databases, composting and
vegetable gardening.
Johnny “100 watt” Jones
Lead Vocals/Guitar
Musical Background: Spent time traveling the South
and Southwest with Satyre out of Austin TX. Moved to
Hollywood CA and had stints with original acts
Passion, Risk and later Bad Dog in Huntington Beach
CA. Moved back to the Twin Cities and supplied
vocals/guitar for Stormtrooper, Dr Zihn, Paragon, Drive
King, Sally Be Nice and original act BarC.When not
playing with 100 watt jones, Johnny also writes ,
performs and records with original act Hot Rod Rodeo.

Ken “Pogo” Jones
Saxophone/Cowbell/Vocals
Musical Background: Sax player extrordinaire for
the phenomenal American Grease 50’s Rock & Roll
Show. Founding member of Full Circle.
Favorite Musical Experience: Backstage with
Chicago for their Chicago 17 tour.
Favorite Quote: “The Cowbell. It takes a true
artisan to fully explore the sonic range of the
Super Bovine 2000. That piece of tin is my canvas”
Archie “Seafoam Junk” Jones
Bass Guitar/Vocals
Musical Background: Archie has played bass
guitar with both cover and original acts for nearly
30 years. Most notable: Zorro, Astara, Trilogy, The
Kidz, Sally Be Nice, Funkgarden, and Barc. He also
writes and records music at home.
Favorite Musical Experience: Each and every night
on stage is remarkable, and it is always a different
and exciting experience.

Beetle “Juice” Jones
Keyboards/Percussion/Vocals
Musical Background: After many years as an
organ grinder’s dancing monkey, Beetle tired of
cymbals and discovered the joys of playing with
his own organ. The rest, as they say, is history.
Favorite Bands: Shooze, The Paperboys, The 2 Fat
Bastards, Full Circle and Last Call.

Michael “Cone” Jones
Drums/Percussion
Musical Background: Michael has many years of
experience playing in Twin Cities cover bands
such as Stryker, Riled Up, The Big Deeks and Half
Life as well as original bands such as Travisty, BLine and current original punk/rock side projectThe Ghettos Burning. His solid timing and high
energy brig a lot to the 100 Watt Jones show. He
plays on Ludwig drums, Zildjian cymbals, Vic Firth
sticks and DW hardware.
