2 Hrs. - $15.35

your intended beneficiaries without court documents and fees. This presentation is an
overview of probate avoidance techniques in Wisconsin and includes setting up payable
on death and transfer on death designations on accounts, compelling legal reasons for
creating revocable living trusts and transferring your home or other real estate to avoid

Fall: July 20, 2016
All fees are payable by due dates published
prior to the Fall, Spring and Summer terms. If
the due date has expired, payment is due at
time of registration.
The fees for each course in this schedule include tuition
and classroom/lab material fees. (Out-of-state residents
pay an additional $65.18 per credit.) All postsecondary
courses include a supplemental fee per credit, used
to subsidize student life and student health programs.
The fees do not include textbooks or other supplies
purchased at any Moraine Park bookstore.
Registration is not complete nor are students
permitted to attend classes until all fees are
paid. Students who have not met their payment
responsibility by paying in full, enrolling in a payment plan, completing all steps of the financial
aid process, or submitting a Third-Party Contract
Application by the due date will be dropped from
ALL classes for non-payment.
What programs are eligible for financial aid?
Federal and state regulations require a student to apply
to the college and be accepted into an “eligible” program. At Moraine Park, all Associate of Applied Science
Degree programs and most one- and two-year Technical Diploma programs are considered eligible. If the
program is short-term or offers only a certificate upon
completion, it is most likely not eligible for financial aid
funding. Examples of those programs not eligible for
financial aid are: Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.),
Emergency Medical Technician, and other Certificate
programs.
Make a payment, enroll in a payment plan or
check account balance at myMPTC, Student Tab,

Tuition Exemptions
The Wisconsin State Legislature provides exemption
from paying program and materials fees in the following
courses:
1. Adult high school courses
2. Adult basic education courses
3. English as a Second Language courses
Auditing Courses
A student may audit a course to gain a general
understanding of a subject matter.
• The student must submit a completed Audit Course
Intent Form at the time of registration.
• A student may not change their enrollment status
once the course has started. All course prerequisites
must be met at the time of registration. Only undergraduate (UG) level courses can be audited.
• A student auditing a course must pay the same
tuition and fees as a student enrolled for credit. The
standard withdrawal/refund procedure applies.
• Students age 60 or older are not required to pay tuition
when auditing a course, but they are responsible for
all other course fees.
• A student auditing a course must meet attendance
requirements, participate in classroom activities and
complete all assignments for the course; however,
they do not complete examinations. Students who
complete an audited course are assigned a grade of
AU (audit). Students who fail to complete the course
receive a grade of W (withdrawn).
• Audited courses do not earn credit; therefore, the
courses do not satisfy prerequisites or requirements
for other courses, are not counted toward credit load,
do not affect grade point average (GPA) calculations
and are not eligible for financial aid.
If a class is full, please request to be placed on
a class waiting list. Waiting lists are compiled
on a “first-come, first-served” basis. If openings
occur, students on the class waiting list will be
called sequentially. Students have 24 hours to respond or the next person on the waiting list will
be called. Please inform Student Services Center
if your contact information changes.
Moraine Park Technical College students have many
options for transferring their technical college credits
to a four-year institution, and many graduates have had
success in applying their technical college credits to
baccalaureate degrees at a variety of institutions. The
granting of transfer credit is based on the policies and
discretion of each prospective college or university.
Moraine Park admissions specialists are available to
provide specific information and help students interested
in this option to get in touch with the appropriate
institution.
Moraine Park has numerous formal “articulation”
agreements with campuses of the University of Wisconsin
System. In addition, formal agreements exist with many
independent (private) colleges in Wisconsin, as well as
with colleges and universities in other states.
These agreements typically align the coursework of
one or more Moraine Park programs and a specific
baccalaureate major at the relevant four-year institution.
In addition to credit transfer related to specific Moraine
Park programs, the University of Wisconsin
System accepts credits of General Education coursework
at any of its 13 campuses. Information about transfer to
a University of Wisconsin college is available from the
University of Wisconsin Transfer Information System.
For more information about transferring credits to
Moraine Park Technical College, please contact an
Admissions Specialist and/or the Registrar.
For more information, visit us on the Web at

ACCL — Accelerated classes offer the same content in a condensed time frame. These classes meet on scheduled dates and times
at Moraine Park sites. Assignments and projects require extensive time outside of class. Assignments may be required for the first
class. These classes are usually offered once a week so you can take multiple classes in one semester. In ACCL programs you may be
expected to follow a sequence of accelerated classes.
BLD — Blended classes are a combination of Online, Internet Video Conference (IVC) or Telepresence, and Classroom. Coursework
is completed both online and in the classroom. For the online work, a computer with Internet access is required. Students use the
Moraine Park Learning Management System (LMS) to submit assignments using the Microsoft Office Suite software. Instructors will
supply further information during the first class session. Classroom learning will take place either in a classroom at one site or at up to
three different sites using the IVC system.
IVC — Interactive Video Conference classes are offered at multiple Moraine Park sites with video and audio interaction through
television medium and microphones. These classes meet at scheduled dates and times. You communicate with the instructor via audio
and video technology.
ONL — Online classes are offered via the Internet. A computer with Internet access is required. Students use the Moraine Park
Learning Management System (LMS) to submit assignments using the Microsoft Office Suite software. Students have the flexibility
to learn where they choose. These classes are not self-paced and have required due dates for assessments and specified start and
end dates (see course descriptions). Some classes may also require additional software (see course descriptions). Communication
with instructors is done using the various communications tools within the LMS. Online classes delivered via the Internet will have an
additional $45 fee.
SPCS — Self-Paced Computer Software concept means you may start a class anytime within a semester. Class completion dates are
communicated during the face-to-face orientation and are strictly adhered to by the College. If the competencies and components of
the class are not satisfactorily completed by the end of the semester, you will receive an F for the class grade. An orientation session is
required before beginning SPCS classes.
SPOL — Self-Paced Open Lab Within the scheduled open labs, students choose times to attend class.
Traditional classes meet at scheduled meeting dates and times at Moraine Park sites. Instruction is face to face.
