PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN
MORE INFORMATION
Did You Know?
Is Your Family Prepared for a Natural Disaster?
A news report on last month’s earthquake in
Southwest China demonstrates how important it is to
have a family preparedness plan in case of a disaster. The
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children offers the following recommendations to all families potentially impacted by a natural disaster: Know where your
children are at all times; Stay together; Take photos of
your children with you when evacuated; Give children
identification information to carry with them, including
the child’s name, date of birth, address, phone numbers,
etc.; E-mail digital photos of all family members to extended relatives and/or friends; Photocopy important
documents and mail to a friend/relative in a safe location;
Make a plan with your children, so they know what to do
if your family becomes separated during an evacuation.
For more information please visit the website: www.
missingkids.com/disasters
We will be having a Breakfast after all
the Masses next Sunday, May 19th.

SECOND COLLECTION
CARDINAL MCINTYRE FUND FOR CHARITY
ANNUAL COLLECTION
MAY 11-12, 2013
Since 1951, the Cardinal McIntyre Fund for Charity has
offered hope for those in crisis situations throughout
the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. On May 11-12, 2013,
all parishes in the Archdiocese will take up this Annual
Collection. Your contribution goes directly toward
emergency needs for children, adults, and families and
provides one-time emergency help for food, utilities,
medical, housing or funeral expenses.
ATTENTION ALL LEADERS OF MINISTRY
There will be a mandatory meeting for all parish ministry
leaders on Thursday, May 30th at 7:00 pm in the Parish
Hall. This meeting will cover all topics regarding the use
of parish facilities for the calendaring of events from July
2013 through June 2014.
The goal of the Cardinal McIntyre Fund for Charity is
to service the “neediest of the needy,” those for whom
no other resources exist. Please be as generous as possible.
It is very important that each parish ministry send at least
one representative to attend this meeting as the Facilities
Request Forms for the July 2013-June 2014 calendar will
be handed out that evening. Only those parish ministries that are represented at this meeting will be able
to request the use of facilities.
TOGETHER IN MISSION
The monthly pledge billings for the Together in Mission pledges have been mailed. It is very important that
these pledges be paid so that our parish can reach and,
hopefully, exceed our goal.
Please contact Alicia at the Parish Office with any questions.
Once the pledge payments have exceeded our goal, we
will receive all of the additional funds for use in our
parish ministries.
