DORRANCE DANCE ,“DD” “SOUNDspace” -‐ RIDER F: LIGHTING SYSTEMS
-Eos or Ion control system preferred. Element board is acceptable
-The number of channels required for control depends on the size of the venue. Ideally each unit has
individual control but of course this can be modified.
- “SOUNDspace” requires the use of a cyclorama with a black scrim downstage of the cyc.
We use groundrow as well as cyc lighting.
-An essential part of “SOUNDspace” is a 40” deep x proscenium opening width ( ideally 36’-0” to 40’-0”)
strip of sharply focused front light coming from a +45º angle that only illuminates the dancers from the
knees down. Depending on the distance of the front light position this can require from 2-6 Source 4 units.
It is split into SL and SR. The strip is in 1, downstage.
