DAY 1: We will have a tour driving in the most famous downtown area, and then we will
visit Ibirapuera Park, Sao Paulo’s equivalent of New York City’s Central Park.
DAY 2: We will visit famous sites downtown, including the Municipal Market of Sao
Paulo, a vibrant, must-see historical market for tourists and Brazilians alike. We will
then visit the famous Cathedral of Se’, one of the five largest neo-gothic churches in
the world and a popular place of worship in downtown Sao Paulo.
Aparecida (Sao Paulo state): On the way to Rio de Janeiro, our tour will stop at the
second largest Catholic basilica in the world, the National Basilica Shrine of our Lady
Aparecida (second only to St. Peter's in the Vatican City). The National Basilica, which
can hold up to 45,000 people for services, welcomes 10 million religious visitors and
tourists per year, and is considered the heart and soul of Brazil’s rich Catholic faith for
Brazil’s 142 million Catholics.

close and personal the behind-the-scenes beginnings of amazing Carnival celebrations.
DAY 2: The second day begins with a cable car ride up to Sugarloaf Mountain, where
you will experience breathtaking views of Rio. We’ll then head to the world-famous
Copacabana beach and neighboring markets.
We’ll end the day with a beautiful ferry tour to Niteroi, a quaint little town on the
other side of the bay with spectacular views of Rio.
