Johnny says, “Football is like the pizza business. You just keep at it and work hard.” One of Johnny’s favorite sayings for football and business is “It’s not a shame for a man to fall down, it’s a shame for him to stay down.” Coming Events (Details on Pages 2, 3 & 4) Farmers Market– every Sunday Fit Body Boot Camp Saturday, Feb. 28 Change of Heart Event Fun Run, Feb. 28 Concerts on the Wigwam lawn Sunday, March 15 Friday, April 10 Arts & Culinary Fest.– March 7/8 Johnny grew up in Ventura, California with a passion for both pizza and football. While Johnny and his family ran their pizza business, Johnny played football at Ventura High School and Ventura Community College. He later went on to coach at local high schools and for the minor league pro team, the Ventura County Sabers. Being born and raised in Ventura, football and the family pizza business, he knew everyone in town. Moving to Arizona and opening Johnny B’s Pizzeria is a new chapter in life. For Johnny, it’s all about the community. He has already plugged in with the local skate board kids, giving them pizza for the best trick. He looks towards the long term and being part of the community. On April 18th there will be a poker ride with a stop at Johnny B’s. The ride will benefit military veterans and providing displaced vets with hygiene products. Check with Johnny for details. Johnny B’s owner, Johnny Barrios New York style pizza is Johnny’s specialty with a thin crispy crust and thin sweet tomato sauce.
