Introduction
KIDZ KARTZ have been designed and
manufactured in response to customers
who want a reliable business tool,
without the commitment and cost of
investing into a franchise. KIDZ
KARTZ are manufactured in the UK
by Gravitron, a company with many
years of expertise and experience in
the design and build of electric
drive systems and vehicles for the
leisure industry.
The KIDZ KARTZ will
appeal to children of all
ages, from the youngest
drivers at 3 years old who will
experience their first taste of driving a real vehicle, to those older children who want to race their friends.
The full age range is 3 – 12 years old, with the only restricting factor being “can they fit into the kart?”.

Versatile and Adaptable
KIDZ KARTZ can be used on rough or smooth terrain, with their large
multipurpose tyres. Easy steering and smooth speed control means that
even the youngest child can enjoy the thrill of driving on slippery gravel,
wet tarmac, grass, just about any everyday surface. This makes the KIDZ
KARTZ true, all round, all terrain vehicles, which can be used all year
long.
Indoors these vehicles are quiet, smooth and fume free. With easy handling and a fun appearance they will be the centre of attention for any
event.
Safety Matters
KIDZ KARTZ are incredibly safe; they are driven by two electric, geared
motors fitted directly onto the rear wheels with no chains to worry
about. There are no hot engines or flammable fuels, to cause injury to
the children or concern for their parents. The electric drive also makes
life safer and easier for owner operators – with no hot parts, no engines
to strip down and maintain, cheaper insurance, lower decibel levels and
so no complaints about noise and air pollution – all in all an environmentally friendly product!!
KIDZ KARTZ are fully BACTA ADIPS certified. BACTA are a recognised
organisation that stipulate safety standards with in the leisure industry.

KIDZ KARTZ are ideally suited for installation into existing facilities.
They produce considerable additional income when used as
“pay per ride” or act as an attraction to increase or maintain
attendance figures.

This system is ideal for operation in all weather conditions. They can be
used indoors with no worry of noise or flammable liquids. The KIDZ
KARTZ are robust and durable, totally suitable for off road terrains. They
make a superb addition or stand alone attraction for all kinds of parks,
sea side resorts, camp sites, community centres etc. Children can’t resist
these fun vehicles when they see them and ride them again and again.

Tyre Barriers
Tyre barriers are an effective
way to create a KIDZ KARTZ
circuit. Various colour wraps
can be used to hold the tyres
Tubular Barrier
Tubular barriers offer a smooth
and attractive system. Suitable
for a permanent KIDZ KARTZ
circuit. Various colours are available.
Inflatable Circuit
Inflatable circuits are quick and
easy to erect and offer a superb
shock absorption system. They
are visually exciting and come in
many colours.
Covered Inflatable Circuit
The same as the standard inflatable circuit but with a roof over
for all year all weather operation.
This can also be used for other
functions such as Bar ‘B’ Qs, parties etc.

comes on a purpose built trailer which is
easily manoeuvred and stored.
The KIDZ KARTZ mobile business is

What do I need to run this business?
A desire to be your own boss and earn a lucrative income!!
A vehicle with a tow hitch, to pull the trailer.
1 adult to run the KIDZ KARTZ events – either you or someone
you employ.
Safe storage location.
A phone, either land line or mobile, to take booking enquiries.
Do I need any electrical or mechanical knowledge to maintain the
karts?
KIDZ KARTZ come with a full 12 month manufacturer’s warranty.
KIDZ KARTZ are ADIPS certified to ensure that they are safe and
suitable to be used in a commercial setting.
Operators will need to carry out routine maintenance – this will
include:
Washing the KIDZ KARTZ.
Checking the tyre pressures and inflating if necessary.
Spanner checking the fixings.
Checking that the seats, steering wheels and foot pedals are secure and operating properly.
Do I need insurance?
You will need to check that your vehicle insurance covers you to
tow a trailer and inform your insurance company that you are using your vehicle for business use.
You will need business use class 1 for the policy holder only.
Additional named drivers will require business use class 2 .
Whilst driving, the trailer and contents are covered third party only
and will need to be covered for theft or damage by an additional
business insurance.
You will need to take out a public liability insurance policy. This
same policy can cover you for theft or damage to the karts, trailer
etc and employer’s liability, if required.

Do I need a licence to operate this business?
No. We do not operate a licence system. You will be responsible
for ensuring that you operate your KIDZ KARTZ mobile business
in a safe and responsible manner. One of your best adverts will
be word of mouth and so happy parents and event organisers will
pass on your details to others who will want to book your services.
What area can I operate in?
It is your business, we do not try to restrict you by limiting you to a
specific geographical area.
We would recommend that you limit your travelling to within one
hour to keep travelling costs down.
Travel within one hours radius of your base will usually provide
more than enough business for a full time operation.

How much does the mobile business cost?
The KIDZ KARTZ mobile business with 4 karts, 8 battery packs, 4
chargers, standard inflatable circuit, electric blower, generator
and trailer is extremely economical. A typical package costs approximately £15,000.00 excluding delivery or taxes. Prices vary
depending on build costs at time of order.
Individual quotes for a KIDZ KARTZ mobile business with
optional extras can be given to suit your specifications.
If you are a start up business it could pay to become VAT registered to claim back the VAT. Please seek the advice of an
accountant or check with the VAT office.
Lease purchase options have a tax advantage, monthly payments
can be offset against the income generated. Other running costs
can be offset against income i.e.: a percentage of land line and
mobile phone bill, a percentage of gas, electricity etc of home for
home office use. Advertising costs, vehicle costs, stationery
costs, etc can all be offset against income. Please seek the advice of an accountant or check with the Tax office.
How can I raise the money to buy the mobile business?
You may wish to purchase the package with funds from a lease
company – monthly repayments over a 3 or 4 year period are
100% tax deductible. We have the details of some lease companies who will discuss this option with you.
You may wish to take out a personal loan and search for the lowest interest rate.
You may like to consider a joint venture with a friend or family
member and share the work load and profits.

How much can I expect to earn?
Birthday parties will be evenly spread out over the year and it
would be easily achievable to run 2 or 3 birthday parties per
week @ between £150.00 and £250.00 per event.
Car boot sales and markets are an excellent income generator.
These are more seasonal than birthday parties, with most car
boot sales and markets running weekly on Saturday and Sun
day mornings from Easter through to the October half term. You
can expect to take £300.00 - £600.00 over an average morning,
that’s a possible £1200.00 over a weekend!!.
Special events such as garage open days, business launches
and corporate events can be arranged with a set fee for a full
day’s operation. Your daily rate and can be charged between
£250.00 & £1000.00 per day depending upon location.
Events at agricultural or county shows, fetes, shopping malls,
fun days etc will need to be negotiated with the organisers. You
will usually negotiate a set fee for the space, however some
organisations, especially charities, churches and schools may
want to offer you free space and negotiate a percentage of the
income. £300—£1000 expected income.
Secondary spend ideas: offer birthday party bookings, a pack
of KIDZ KARTZ party invitations, party bags with
sweets, a small toy and a piece of KIDZ KARTZ merchandise
such as a key ring, cap or soft toy. Pricing and profits will vary
upon what you offer. Party bags can include contact details and
invitations to encourage further bookings from party goers.
At a fixed location the income will depend on opening times,
hours open and the number of children driving KIDZ KARTZ.
Income example: 4 KIDZ KARTZ. 3 Minute rides. 7 Hours per
day. 200 Days per year. £2 per ride = 80 rides per hour.
Income 80x7x200x£2 = £224,000 / 50% efficiency = £112,000
