school situation. .
It is definitely established ,af this' time,
th a t there is a semi conservative and semi-liber
al group divided on the local school question.
N either group can be classed as u ltra liberal or
u ltra conservative, both inculcate certain beliefs
of both in their platform , if we can call the
program of each a platform .
It is still too early, in the race to determ ine
just what i/rogram will be proposed by the two
candidates seeking seats of mcumbcnts. _N o
statement'Tias'come from eith er of the men on a
positive p rogram , -however, thoy have .voiced,
th eir opinion on their aim s and purjxjscs, short
of actual opposition to the present school board's
program .
There is no sign of outright disagreem ent
w ith present board program s, as far as is evi
dent at this time. There m ay bo som ething said
as the campaign draw s down to -tho April 1
voting deadline.
One of tho oandidates has staled iliat ho is
unhappy with the staff and with tho eum eulum
at the school.. He did not broaden .his rem ark,
but stated that lie would rlo so at a lat'»r date. .
