A Message From Paul Humphrey:
“I have been developing this program for over 10 years, this
has been the 4 th year I have traveled throughout the US,
doing a total of 26 Clinics. It’s amazing the horses and
people that I have met, and the improvements i see at each
clinic. I truly believe that the horsemanship I teach is what
allows each person to be successful with my program.
During my barrel clinics, I make sure to take the time with
each rider to help them and their horse to understand each
drill and the benefit of how that drill will help them have
success in the barrel pattern. I believe not only does the
rider need confidence, but the horse needs confidence also.
I strive to teach that it’s not about turning the barrel; It’s
about moving around the barrel correctly. No Gimmicks, No
special bit, just basic horsemanship.

At Breaking the Mold Clinics with Paul Humphrey, you will
work on:
-Correct body control during my drills.. This really allows the
horse to understand how to use their body correctly and
takes away the uncertainy and gives the horse confidence
in the the barrel run. Correct body control around the barrel
also helps the horse to relax around the barrel which helps
them to understand the barrel is a good place to be.
-You learn the importance of your hand position to obtain
correct body control of your horse during slow work.
-You learn how to use both hands. There are
two sides to a horses body and they are connected. Both sides must understand what to do and follow each other. This can only be achieved successfully by using both hands.
