Entries from the SPCA Celebrity Pet Photo Contest Link Labradoodle. In our free time we enjoy taking long walks together at Al Sabo Nature Preserve in Texas Township. What I really love, though, and look forward to every year is the dog walkathon at Prairie View Park in Vicksburg. It’s the social event of the year! I love meeting all types of other dogs! I’m so glad those nice people at the SPCA rescued me when I was little and brought me to Kalamazoo. I’ve found my forever home! Howdy! My name is Link and I’m a six year old American Pit Bull mix. If only my ol’ pals at the SPCA could see me now! I was adopted by my mom when I was six months old at the SPCA in Kalamazoo. I’m told I am originally from Berrien county, but Kalamazoo is my true home! I love it here! I have an older brother named Casper (a yellow lab) that was adopted in Georgia and a little sister named Penny (a Chihuahua mix) who is also from the SPCA. I currently hold down a part-time job as the baby sitter for the five chickens living in our backyard. I love those chickens. I could watch them all day long! My hobbies include eating marshmallows, sleeping in until noon, and getting my nails done at the Mattawan Animal Hospital. The ladies there love me! But sorry ladies...I’m taken! My girlfriend’s name is Kimmie, she’s a SPCA of SWMI 6955 West KL Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 TJ My name is TJ and someone left me and my sister out in the cold two years ago up in Northern Michigan. I was skinny ( 4 lbs) and had a red eye and other personal problems that I am too embarrassed to mention. I don’t know why no one wanted me. If they could see me now.. I weigh a stocky 11 lbs ( all muscle) they would realize what a handsome and beautiful cat I have become. I am grateful everyday that my owner loves me and takes such good care of me. Thank you again for connecting Len and I, he has been a wonderful friend over the past 5 years. He’s been overall healthy but the eye problems that he had as a kitten have recurred several times. He just recently got over a bout with an eye infection that the vet was unable to determine a cause for. At any rate, I thought I’d say hello and pass along some photos. This year, I decided to get him a summer haircut, as evidenced by his tail, and he seems to have enjoyed being much cooler this year! SPCA of SWMI 6955 West KL Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 Just wanted to let you guys know that Martin, now named Riley, has adjusted very well to our home and other cat!
