The Beginnings of
National Championship of Corporate Football

It was founded the National Championship of Corporate Football, under the name of “Cornel Dinu’s
Trophy” for companies . The matches were played in Herastrau Park ( Herastrau Football Arena );
4th September – it’s playing the first match between Alpha Bank – MSD MERCK ( 5 – 0 ); Alpha Bank
was imposing at the first edition
The National Championship starts to be played 2 times during the year from March to July and from
September to November. Florin Chivulete becomes the President of Arbitration Panel;
10th November – It’s playing the first edition of Medical & Pharma Football Cup.
The winner – AD Pharma is qualifying at National Championship of Corporate Football .
It’s founded the Romanian Federation of Corporate Sports;
April – It takes place the joining at the International forums - FIFCO and also European ones – UEFCO;
The matches from “Cornel Dinu Cup” for the companies are played on Dinamo Bucharest Stadium;
It is forming the first Executive Committee with participants from the most present companies;
Romanian Federation of Corporate Sports signs a partnership with Your Chance Association to lean on
the charitable events for the underprivileged children
The President of FIFCO, mister Albert Zbily comes to visit Romania and officiate draw ceremony of teams. Is
founded the first regional center for Oltenia – Craiova area. It is organizes the first regional championship.
“Cornel Dinu Cup” for companies becomes National Championship of Corporate Football.
It’s changing the game system and are forming two valuable leagues ( FIFCO League and UEFCO League);
It is founded a new regional center for Transilvania area , with center in Brasov ;
It is organized first national tournament attended by winners of the last two editions. Win Timisoreana !

- November 10th – opening registrations ( 40 seats in Bucharest/ Ilfov area);
- Rules of the game are communicated on the official site www.cnfc.ro ;
The period of registration ( places are limited, so the registration will end when the places will
be occupied)
- December 12th – the teams already submitted are invited to participate at Christmas Charity Cup (charitable
events organized along with Your Chance Association for 200 children coming from disadvantaged families;

Starts the enrollment for the Regional Championships from Craiova and Brasov;
Signing the participation contracts;
Filling the sets of players’.
It’s communicated the draw day for preliminary groups
Sending the lots of players along with a photo of each player and the logo of the company ;
It’s having place the draw ceremony of National Championship of Corporate Football – 10th edition
It makes up the executive committee of the Championship,
