Kontiki Suite Saturday 12 September 8pm (doors open at 7pm) £5 on the door The View Thursday 1 October 8pm (doors open at 7pm) £14* A Scottish indie rock band; they incorporate various styles such as punk, pop, alternative rock, pop punk, powerpop and folk in their music. They are best known for their 2007 single “Same Jeans” which reached number three on the UK Singles Chart. Mark Chadwick (The Levellers) Friday 9 October 8pm (doors open at 7pm) £10* The band shares a collective love of melody, harmony, psychedelia and country. The band are currently recording new songs for their forthcoming album and booking gigs throughout the country. One of the UK’s most successful songwriters, Mark Chadwick has co-written 20 chart singles and six top 40 albums (including a number one) as part of The Levellers, the band he has fronted for over 20 years. The Sherlocks Sunday 13 September 8pm (doors open at 7pm) £10* A four piece band from Sheffield, their music is often described as ‘upbeat’ and ‘bodacious’, with ‘thrashing vocals’ and ‘rhythmic guitars’. They have been support to bands such as Twisted Wheel, The Buzzcocks, Reverend & The Makers, The Enemy, Scouting for Girls and Simple Minds. He has made some of the most adventurous and acclaimed UK music of the last twenty years.
