Marianne Tobias Music Program THE HEALING SOUNDS OF MUSIC Not only can music be soothing, it can also be a healing influence in our lives. Research published in medical journals demonstrates exposure to music, when combined with standard medical care, results in better health outcomes. Music has proven to be effective in treating a wide variety of conditions, from stress and depression, to addiction and pain management, to healing and recovery after surgery. It also improves immunity and facilitates social bonding.
