New “Heavy Residue Process Complex first phase” to be constructed in LUKOIL
NEFTOCHIM BOURGAS Refinery.

The Complex is composed by the following sections under Licensor AXENS design
or TECHNIP technology:
 H-Oil: the final product is mainly heavy gasoil (2.5 Million of T/y of
vacuum residue)
 Amine: to remove the excess of Sulphur content in the hydrocarbons
 Sour Water Stripper: to treat all the water flows (acid and basic)
 Hydrogen Production: production capacity 77.500 Nm3/h with 100% H2
purity
 Utilities and Off-Sites

 Sices is the “Nominated Construction Subcontractor”.
 Sices is providing the following activities directly or through subsubcontractors:
 Civil Works (quantity more than 33.500 m3 of concrete, 1.500.000 man
hours)
 Heavy Lifts (reactors weight 1.400 tons each)
 Piping Prefabrication (at jobsite or in workshops 6.000 tons)
 Piping Erection (12.500 tons)
 Steel Structures Erection (13.500 tons)
 Field Painting (305.000 m2) and Insulation (350.000 m2)
 Mechanical Erection (38.000 tons)
 Electrical and Instrumentation Works
 Field Fire Proofing Installation (100.000 m2)
 Temporary Construction Facilities

 The project started in January 2012 and the RFSU is foreseen in the first
quarter of 2015.
 The scheduled direct man hours are over 9.000.000 and the peak of
Direct and Indirect people at site is more than 3.500 (70% of Local
Personnel)
 The total amount of steel structures to be installed is more than 13.500
Tons, the above ground piping is more than 12.500 Tons, the under ground
piping is more than 28.000 Lm.
 Civil works are more than 33.500 m3 of concrete, progress achieved 90%
