TEAM USA N a t i o n a l Tr i a l s • USA Football created the National Trials to provide the country’s top football players with the chance to compete on the field for a spot on the 2012 U.S. Under-19 National Team. • Three days of football competition, including individual position drills, 1-on-1 situations and 7-on-7 competition. • USA Football utilizes competition and development to evaluate the athletes. • All athletes are provided with a written evaluation by USA Football’s National Team scouts, all of whom have NFL or college scouting experience. • The National Trials provide participating athletes with valuable coaching critique to ultimately help the individual become an improved football player. “I just want to thank you for all that you folks have done for us young men who were so honored to participate as a player for Team USA! It goes without saying all the hard work and organization that you all displayed gave me a determination to give back in all that I could as a player.” – Jarrett Hudson, 2011 Team USA Offensive Line, Air Force www.usafootball.com/TeamUSA DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION TEAM USA N a t i o n a l Tr i a l s NFL COACHES, SCOUTS AND PLAYERS Team USA utilizes NFL coaches, scouts and players at each position to work with and evaluate National Trial participants. LEADERSHIP, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND RECRUITING EDUCATION USA Football will provide parents and athletes with a variety of off the field developmental sessions. Speakers will address leadership and character development topics targeted specifically for the nation’s top prospects. The recruiting seminar will be geared toward helping families manage the process and issues that may arise around sought-after athletes. USA Football is proud to present athletes and parents with off the field development sessions throughout the three day event. www.usafootball.com/TeamUSA WHAT IS TEAM USA? As the National Governing Body of the sport, it is USA Football’s duty to build and manage the National Teams program. USA Football is a member of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), and our national teams compete in IFAF-sanctioned events. Our highest profile team is our Under-19 National Team. The team is built with the “top right” players, and the team represents the United States in international competition. Please note that Team USA is NOT an all-star team but rather a highly competitive national team that is built as a team as opposed to a collection of talent. Our goal is to identify players who excel both on and off the field as well as maintain the leadership, team mentality and character that we strive to uphold as USA Football and Team USA.
