DRIVING SAFETY
COURSE

Trustmark Bank and the
American Association of
Retired Persons are sponsoring a Driver Safety Course
Feb. 10-11 at the Baker
Community Center.
The eight-hour course is
geared to drivers 50 years
old and above and covers
defensive driving, rules of
the road, Tennessee driving
laws, automobile safety and
age related physical changes
that may affect driving.
No driving or written test
is required to complete the
course; however course participants with good driving
records for the past three
years will receive a discount
on their auto insurance for
the next three years.
The course will be held
on that Wednesday and
Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1
p.m.
at
the
Baker
Community Center at 7942
Church St. The registration
fee for AARP members is
$12 and for non-members
$14.
Trustmark Bank is providing breakfast and lunch
on both days. The course
will be taught by AARP
instructor Ben Hill. Class
size is limited to the first 25
Dr. Richard Gordon has
joined the physicians and

Stern
Cardiovascular Center at its
new location at 76 Tabb
Road in Munford.
Gordon, along with Dr.
Jason Infeld, will oversee
Stern’s cardiovascular practice in Munford, which
includes a state-of-the-art
full-service cardiac testing
center, offering nuclear testing and echocardiography, in
addition to cardiac consultation.
Gordon is also director of
outreach services for Stern’s
cardiovascular medical practice, which serves primarily
West Tennessee. Since 2004,
Gordon had been the principal cardiologist at the
Gordon Heart Clinic in
Munford. He will continue
to see patients at Stern
Cardiovascular
Center’s
offices in Millington, Ripley,
Somerville, and Oakland.

Gordon holds a medical
degree from the University
of Maryland School of
Medicine. He received his
cardiology training at Baylor
College of Medicine in
Houston, and studied cardiac
MRI testing at The Royal
Brompton Hospital in
London, England.
