HORSE RIDING IN SNOW TAIGA

Introduction lecture about horse riding, meeting with horses.
The horses are local, underbred, 3-10 years old, mares and geldings,
accustomed to forest, calm, enduring. Every day they walk 50km in the forest,
of middle height, their colour is chestnut, dapple-grey, grey, cream, black

Thermal underwear, pants, sweater, feather jacket, shortalls, warm jacket (preferably down jacket), 2 pairs of wool socks,
free shoes with high tops, hat with earflaps, ski mask, warm gloves, cup, mug, spoon.
You should not dress in ski clothing, designed for active movement, because most of the time the horse steps and you

After that you will go to Krasnoyarsk surroundings, stop at the view point
“Tsar Fish”, from where you can see the river Yenissey and blue mountains, in
the town Divnogorsk you can see Krasnoyarsk hydro power station – the
second biggest one in Russia. Next stop is in the fun-park “Bobrovy log”, you
will go uphill by a ropeway to a view point to the famous reserve “Stolby” and
all Krasnoyarsk.

YENISSEYSK
After breakfast and checking-out of the hotel the group goes to the north of
the region along Yenissey tract to the town Lesosibirsk (300 km). It is a good
possibility to get to know the history of Yenissey province.
On the way you can visit a temple in the village Kazachinskoye with an icon
that can shed tears. Arrival in Lesosibirsk, where you will see some city
churches and the Museum of Contemporary Christian Art. In the Museum the
guide will tell not only about the authors’ style and manner of writing, but also
reveal the spiritual meaning of almost every work.
Excursion to Krestovozdvizhenskiy Cathedral, one of the largest churches in
Siberia (67 meters high).

NATURE RESERVE “STOLBY”

If you have ever been to Krasnoyarsk, but haven't visited the nature reserve
"Stolby", you haven't seen the heart of the city, its lungs, its soul. The shape of
each rock is so unique, that almost all rocks have their own names - Grandfather,
First Pole, Pillars, Takmak, Elephant, Lion's Gate etc. The tourist-excursion area
of Stolby is almost 1,5 thousand hectares.
After a pleasant walk in the central group of rocks with an experienced guide
(3 km) you will have a rest and a hot picnic in a log hut of the real rock climber.

White Lama Vostokov is a professor of Tibetan medicine, who will tell about local

MEETING TUVA
Arrival in Kyzyl in the morning, transfer to the hotel, check-in, rest.
The place of this day is Kyzyl, the capital of Tuva. The first sight to visit here is
the Geographical Centre of Asia.
The next place of visiting is the Buddhist temple where you will have a chance
to hear a sermon of the lama. Buddhism in Tuva exists in harmony with
shaman beliefs.
Meeting with handicraftsmen. Also you will visit the Regional Museum of Tuva
(exhibition “Scythian gold”) and see unique archaeological finds of different
epochs.
Also visiting Kyzyl surroundings, a mineral healing spring.
Dinner in a restaurant with national cuisine.

YERZHEY VILLAGE

Departure to the village Yerzhey (170 km) in south direction by winter road.
Arrival to the tourist camp “Yerzhey” which is located at the bank of Ka-Khem
river (Small Yenisei) at Sayan foothill and 2 km away from villages Yerzhei and
Sizim, where Siberian old believers live.
Lunch. A walk around the camp, uphill from where you can observe amazing
scenery.
Dinner.
The lack of roads and public transport makes this trip unforgettable for
travelers who will see picturesque mountain lands, coniferous woods,
meadows and pastures.

OLD-BELIEVERS of TUVA

Excursions to old believers’ descendants.
Coming back to the camp, lunch.
Free time. Visit a typical Siberian hot sauna called banya
Dinner.
Old believers settled in Tuva in the end of 18th century, when these lands were
digested by migrants. Still they try to live in reservations. But some families
agree to receive guests. You will visit this kind of family and learn about their
lifestyle, traditions, rituals of these unusual people. Their village is located on
the bank of the river and you can get there only by ferry which is moved with
the help of the river’s force. Meeting local people is always very exciting. It is a
real time travel, it is a world of totally different values and interests.

MEETINGS WITH SHAMANS
Breakfast, coming back to Kyzyl (170 km).
Arrival to the city, accommodation at the hotel, lunch. Departure to the yurt
camp Biy-Khem where you will meet a shaman.
During this meeting shaman will tell you about traditions, rituals and power of
shamanism. After that you will see a shamanistic ritual - kamlaniye.
During your visit at the yurt camp you can also taste national Tuvan tea.
Return to the city. Dinner in a restaurant.
Kamlanie is a ritual during which a shaman communicates with spirits, does
some magic beside the bonfire, producing plangent sounds and playing
tambourine. For some people it will be a cleanup ritual, for others – a chance
to meditate, and someone will just make a wish and soon it will come true.
