Welcome to our 2016 open house and production sale. There are many things that I enjoy about the cattle business,
but none better than the opportunity to meet and work with some of the greatest people on the planet! Ours is truly a
business of people and protein. Our customers range from commercial cow/calf producers looking for genetics that
will increase profitability to housewives who want wholesome healthy beef for their families, and Red Angus cattle
continue to work to meet the various demands of all of our customers. I believe that Red Angus cattle offer more
value than any other beef breed because they excel in so many economically relevant traits. More marketing
opportunities, such as the Choice Plus grid from Tyson Foods, the Go Red grid from Greater Omaha and
Meyer Natural Foods search for Red Angus sired calves in the Southeast, are providing avenues for our
customers to reap the value of their Certified Red Angus (Yellow Tagged) feeder calves!
Red Angus females
continue to be a much sought after commodity in cow herds across the country because of their efficient productivity
and calm dispositions. They are truly PRO Cows! Independent research evaluating three million feeder calves
over a five year period and published in 2015 shows that Red Angus sired calves out sold all other breed groups!
These are just a few of the reasons that the future looks so bright for Red Angus and the people who raise them.
