President’s
Message

2016
The new club year has had an exciting start with many changes and
milestones.
Firstly, I would like to extend a very big thank you to everyone involved with this year’s National Specialty, including our judge, Norbert Gainche from France. This event would not have happened without the many people working behind the scenes all year long.
This year’s National Specialty proved to be historic, with it being our
largest National Specialty ever, with a total of nearly 130 entries! In
addition to a record number of entries we also had the largest number of dogs getting their TCQ with a total of 24 passing the test!
(The TCQ is a PSCA title only offered once a year at the National
Specialty.) In addition, Diane Overstreet and Kim Rice also became
official TCQ testers this year.
In another item of news related to the National Specialty, there
seems to be a number of errors on the results that are listed on
InfoDog. We are currently working with the AKC to try to resolve
this issue. If your dog received an award that is not listed, or if they
are showing as receiving an award that they did not win, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can help rectify these errors.
Secondly, I would like you to join me in welcoming our new board of
directors and officers for 2016-2017:
Class of 2019: Debbie Huff, Regina Libby, and Donna Whitham.
Regina will also be taking on the role of Secretary for the club.
Class of 2018: Mary Newman, Diane Overstreet, and Sue
Snyder. Mary is taking over the reins from Karen Majka, as
our new Treasurer. Sue has also stepped into the Vice President role.
Class of 2017: Joni Monney-McKeown, Kim Rice, and Ann
Shepard, with me following Kathy Burger as President.
We are in the process of updating all of our committees and positions,
as well, and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead continuing
on the foundation of all that has been built during the last several
years.
As we head into the coming year, I want to make myself available to
hear from you concerning anything related to the club, and also about
any area that you might be interested in helping with. Our club will
continue to grow in direct proportion to all of our members pitching in
and serving in the areas you love the most.

2016 PSCA AGILITY TRIALS
Hi Everyone,
Just a reminder to save the date for the 2016 PSCA AKC Agility trial.
It will be held June 17-19, 2016 at the Soccer SportsPlex in North
Olmsted, OH. This is the same location as the 2015 trials and is on
the southwest side of Cleveland. It has turf footing, A/C, on-site RV
parking, and snack bar.
We will have goody bags with edible treats for both humans and their
dogs, prizes (gift cards) for the Top Pyr Shep Std/JWW each day
and a prize for the Top Pyr Shep of the 3 day weekend!! In remembrance of Pam's 18 hour commute from Florida last year, this year we
will have a gas card prize for the exhibitor who travels the furthest
to the trial. More prizes will be announced closer to the date! The
Red Roof in Westlake, OH is where several PSCA members stayed
last time and it's just a few minutes from the shores of Lake
Erie. The motel is popular with all agility exhibitors for this trial so
make your reservations early!
Entries open April 20, 2016 (first received so enter promptly) and
close on June 1, 2016. Judges are Mary Mullin and Sally Gichner. We
will have Std, JWW, FAST and T2B. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to be on the Trial Committee!!! I appreciate the help!
