Angelus Shotblast CMU
Shotblast units provide a roughened, weathered
appearance with some aggregate exposure.
Precision cmu are processed through a machine
that propels shot media against each unit to create
the texture.
Aggregate exposure is very random, as the amount
and type of aggregate that rests close to the
surface will vary greatly from unit to unit.
The outcome is a unique blend of units providing
the character and human scale of masonry.
Please note the depth of the texture will vary from
unit to unit. The force of the blasting is relatively
static, whereas the surface hardness of each unit
varies slightly enough for variation in the degree of
the blast effect. We recommend a heavy blast for
best results.
Most precision units may be shot blast, including
open end and bond beam configurations, as well
as double open ends. This allows for freedom in
design, structurally and aesthetically.
The shot blast texture is available on special
order. Please consult with your Angelus Block
representative for specific information.
