Sharing a world means sharing the responsibility for it. Opel is actively working to reduce greenhouse gases by introducing
new, more energy-efficient cars, as well as constantly improving current models. The Opel Corsa ecoFLEX belongs to the
ecoFLEX family of advanced, energy-efficient cars, dedicated to reducing both CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. And, as
cleaner, more efficient alternative power sources become viable, Opel is developing the Opel Ampera, an Extended-Range
Electric Vehicle (E-REV) that can drive up to 40–80 km on battery power alone before its on-board generator extends the range
up to 500 km. Opel’s commitment to preserving and protecting the environment goes even further, with drastically reduced
manufacturing pollution and the provision of accessible take-back points across Europe. A commitment covering each phase
of every vehicle’s life.
Opel Corsa ecoFLEX. At Opel, we believe that a car that’s fun to drive can also
be frugal with fuel. And to prove it, our engineers have made a highly efficient
car even more fuel-efficient. The Opel Corsa ecoFLEX with the 1.3 CDTI ECOTEC®
delivers driving fun with 70 kW (95 hp), 190 Nm torque, and CO2 emissions of
just 89–88 g/km. While static in stop-and-go traffic, or waiting at a red light, the
standard Start/Stop System cuts consumption and emissions to zero.
Engine range. Opel Corsa’s Euro 5 petrol engines feature dual cam phasers with
continually variable valve timing and a wide range of other technologies to deliver
a broader spread of torque and higher performance with excellent consumption
values. The power choice ranges from the 1.0 TWINPORT ECOTEC® (48 kW/65 hp)
to the 1.6 TWINPORT ECOTEC engine with 141 kW (192 hp).
The 1.2 and 1.4 TWINPORT engines also can be ordered with Start/Stop System for
even less consumption and emissions.
The common rail diesel engines of the Opel Corsa are paragons of performance,
refinement, and efficiency. They range from the 1.3 CDTI (55 kW/75 hp) with optional
Start/Stop System through the amazing 1.3 CDTI (70 kW/95 hp), with standard
Start/Stop System and CO2 values of only 89–88 g/km, to the 1.7 CDTI (96 kW/130 hp),
delivering up to 300 Nm torque through the sporty 6-speed manual transmission
for optimum driving performance, with emissions as low as 119–118 g CO2/km.
Start/Stop System.
A running engine in a stationary car consumes fuel
and emits CO2 emissions.
Opel’s Start/Stop System
automatically stops the engine when the
car comes to a standstill. The engine
promptly restarts as soon as the clutch
is engaged.
Shift indicator. The shift indicator is
easily visible in the instrument cluster,
signalling the optimum time to change
gear for maximum economy.
Easytronic®. Efficient and simple to use,
Easytronic® combines the advantages
of a manual gearbox with the ease of

Optimised chassis. Several refinements
to all of the most important chassis
components have resulted in noticeably
better driving comfort for the Opel Corsa
without compromising its agile driving
characteristics.
Sports chassis. Handling precision and
agility are further enhanced with the
optional sports chassis by retuning ride
height, suspension, damping and steering
characteristics to meet the demands
of the sporty driver.
Anti-lock Braking System. In the
Opel Corsa, ABS is much more than
“just” ABS. It is the latest generation
system incorporating a number of
additional functions:
• Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD)
optimises the braking performance
according to the vehicle load.
• Cornering Brake Control (CBC)
improves stability when braking in
curves by reducing brake pressure
to the inner front wheel.
• Straight Line Stability Control (SLS)
detects and corrects any tendency to
instability when braking in a straight
line by reducing brake pressure to the
relevant wheels.
Electronic Stability Program (ESP®Plus).
The Opel Corsa can be upgraded
with ESP®Plus which includes Traction
Control (TCPlus) and Enhanced Understeering Control (EUC). EUC optimises
the manoeuvrability in addition to
standard ESP®.
In case of ESP® intervention, brake pressure is applied to up to four wheels for
the most effective stabilisation when
needed. ESP®Plus counteracts even
extreme understeering (such as sudden
avoidance manoeuvres) to maintain
overall control. For experienced drivers
the ESP®Plus can be switched off (with
1.6 Turbo engine only).

Driving Dynamics
Euro NCAP. The Opel Corsa has
been awarded the maximum 5-star
rating by Euro NCAP for its excellent
safety performance.
Static Cornering Light. On tight bends
at low speed an additional left or right
reflector is switched on, throwing light
into the corner at a 90° angle.
Dynamic Curve Light. Controlled via the
steering angle and speed, the adaptive
headlights swivel up to 15° to optimise
night driving vision in curves.
Airbag systems. The Opel Corsa is
equipped with front and thorax-pelvis
side airbags. Curtain airbags can be
optionally specified.
