December 5 at 11am & 3pm Rotwitt Theater, Rosemont College Directed by Janine Merolla Musical Direction by Dave Snyder Choreographed by Tim Popp AUDITION PACKET Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS auditions are for grades 1-4 Tuition: Member $370 Non-Member: $390 This packet includes: audition form which is to be completed and handed in at your audition audition selection recommendations important information about time commitment to this show Audition Info Auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 9th and Thursday, September 10th from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Wolf PAC Callbacks will be held on Friday, September 11th from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Parents will be contacted on Thursday, September 10th with more information. Those auditioning will be asked to… Introduce themselves with: o My name is ____________, I am in __________ grade, and I will be singing ______ today. Sing one of the following songs: o Any Disney or Musical Theatre song** (HIGHLY recommend), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star **Only a verse and one chorus or just one chorus is necessary, no need to prepare the whole song; Please note that all songs will be performed a capella Read a line or dialogue from the script (lines are included in this packet). Actors may be asked to read the lines with various emotions. Please note that these lines do NOT have to be memorized Be prepared to answer a few, simple questions about yourself (i.e. what is your favorite song?; Have you ever danced in a show before, etc). The answers to these questions will not affect casting. It is simply to get to know the actor better! Visit www.wolfperformingartscenter.org to schedule your audition. REHEARSAL & SHOW INFO Wolf PAC promises a positive, professional theatre experience which can only be accomplished with your positive and professional participation. Rehearsals for this production will take place on Tuesdays at Wolf PAC. IMPORTANT: There will be 2 Casts for this musical. Cast A will rehearse on Tuesdays (Sept 15-Nov 24th, 2015) from 4-5:15pm Cast B will rehearse on Tuesdays (Sept 15-Nov 24th, 2015) from 5:15-6:30pm **NOTE: Wolf PAC reserves the right to have only one cast if there are not enough children to fill the roles. Rehearsal time for one cast will be Tuesdays from 4:456pm** Rehearsals at Rosemont: Cast A: Monday, Nov. 30 & Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 4pm-6pm Cast B: Tuesday, Dec. 1 & Thursday, Dec. 3 from 4pm-6pm *Students MUST be present for all rehearsals at Rosemont. This will be our only opportunity to run the show in our performance space. Not attending these rehearsals will affect participation in the play. You do not have to have all lines memorized. Please be prepared to read for both parts. POOH: Do you happen to have any honey on you, Tigger? TIGGER: Not unless I bounded into some. I did get something kinda sticky on my tail earlier. It’s yours if you want it. POOH: Thank you, no. I think I’ll hold out until I find some honey. TIGGER: Suit yourself. POOH: Can you help me find some? TIGGER: Love to, Pooh. But I’m busy looking for something myself. POOH: What are you looking for? TIGGER: What Tiggers love most – adventure! I’ll let you know when I find some. For PARENTS: How can I help my actor do his/her best at auditions? Ask your actor the follow questions: Do you understand what every word means? What is happening in the scene? What does Pooh want? What does Tigger want? What are the characters feeling? How do you show that emotion? When your actor prepares at home, ask yourself the following: Are their voices loud and clear? Are they showing emotion on their faces? Are they using their whole body to tell the story when singing their song? Want to feel extra prepared?
