Prepare for the TOEFL Online
The AUS TOEFL iBT Online Course offers the
convenience of preparing for TOEFL from home
and on your own schedule. Led by highly qualified
AUS instructors, the course offers flexibility for both
high school students (grades 10 to 12) and working
professionals who want to take the computerized
TOEFL test.
The group course is offered daily for four weeks, with
a minimum of two 20-minute videos daily. Students
view the material at their own convenience. In
addition, the instructors work closely with students
on a minimum of four graded essays and six graded
speaking recordings as extra practice.

Course Material
All four components of the TOEFL exam—reading,
listening, speaking and writing—are covered in the
course, helping you know what to expect on the exam.
•
Reading: The reading videos offer thorough
explanation of all 10 reading skills; bonus
practice videos after each lesson to give students
immediate, focused practice; and a complete
practice exam with an accompanying answer key
video that explains and analyzes every answer.
Students can review both correct and incorrect
choices.
•
Listening: The listening videos offer thorough
explanations of all six listening skills, and a
comprehensive, timed practice session. Students
can work on this section from anywhere, even
without the text/audio CDs, provided they have
Internet access.
•
Speaking: The speaking videos offer thorough
explanation of the various speaking skills needed
for the TOEFL exam. The videos also offer
timed, progressive exercises to develop speaking
responses that are fast, thorough and organized.
Students will be able to record themselves
speaking and send these recordings to AUS
instructors for feedback.
•
Writing: The writing videos offer thorough
explanation of the various writing skills needed
for the TOEFL exam; analyses of written passages;
and exercises geared to help writers achieve
cohesion and improve sentence structure.
Students will be able to write essays and submit
them online to AUS instructors for feedback.
Spaces are limited, so register early. Registration can
be completed online at www.aus.edu/toefl_online.
The cost for the entire four-week course is US$400.
