independently run program on the campus
of Miramonte Christian School. Miramonte is a
K-8 school that features single-grade classrooms with curriculum that meets and exceeds
the standards set by the state of California.
Miramonte Christian School employs dedicated and professional Christian teachers
who hold certifications recognized by the
state of California. Our school is accredited
through the National Council of Private Schools
and the North American Division of Seventhday Adventists.

An early childhood program
featuring a Christ-centered curriculum

Our school is centrally located in Silicon Valley
and provides easy access to parents working in
the Bay Area.
Your preschooler will love our program that
focuses on skill building through multisensory learning and creative play. Our low
teacher student ratio enables preschoolers to
be confident in themselves and their relationships with others by learning to relate in a
positive manner to peers and the adults
around them.
Our program provides a fun and loving environment for children to get their first taste of
the academic experience. This foundation sets
them up to be successful as they progress to

offers an age appropriate, play-based
program for three and four year olds. Here
are a few highlights of our program.


Age appropriate curriculum designed to
stimulate and challenge each child at
their own level.
Weekly science projects and cooking
activities.
Our program

ur Preschool/Jr. K Program is a wonderful
place for your young child to come and
get excited about learning as they prepare for
kindergarten.
We nurture the whole child as we focus not
only on the academics but the physical, spiritual, emotional and social aspects of each
student.
As a part of their socialization, we encourage
children to learn and play together, which
provides opportunities to practice conflict
management skills.

Thematic areas in the classroom to
encourage children to think and discover
for themselves.

A fun, playful atmosphere where children
can feel free to explore the world around
them and ask questions.
Prayer and worship are a regular part of our
day as we point students to Christ’s love for us
and encourage children to share God’s love
with their classmates.

Guidance to develop and strengthen
social boundaries, appropriate behaviors
and independence.
Students play outside several times a day as
they explore the playground, tricycles and other
outdoor toys.

A Christ-centered approach to learning.

Learning centers are setup around the classroom for students to explore including science, math, literacy and art. All stations
include hands-on objects or activities for
children to explore.

Small class size (1:12 teacher student ratio).
Students learn at their own pace to create an
enjoyable experience, encouraging them to
reach their highest potential.

odit Negash, Director
and head teacher,
graduated from Miramonte
School then went on to
Mountain View Academy
and from there onto Pacific
Union College where she
received a B.S Degree.
As a product of Christian
education, Yodit understands first-hand
the value and benefits it provides students.
Ms. Negash has worked in Early Childhood
Education for nine years.
Yodit enjoys baking and loves to expose her
students to hands-0n learning in various
culinary ways from cookies to bread. As a
preschool teacher, she delights in seeing
her students laughing and enjoying their
academic experience.

iramonte Preschool/Jr. K is a ten
month program with open enrollment. All students must be potty-trained and
three or four years old.
Class visits may also be scheduled t o give
your child an opportunity to experience our
program first-hand.
Admission into the program is pending full
application, assessment and approval.
