TRINITY LUTHERAN
CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL
135 E. MOUND STREET
CIRCLEVILLE, OH 43113
The staff of Trinity Lutheran Christian
Preschool is comprised of dedicated, trained
and experienced teachers in the field of Early
Childhood Education. Teachers meet state
requirements, are trained in CPR and First Aid
and also attend workshops throughout the
year to enrich their knowledge and skills in
working with young children.
PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS
Trinity Lutheran Christian Preschool is committed to
providing a program and environment that emphasizes the
development of the whole child: mentally, socially, emotionally, academically, physically and spiritually; and to
recognize the way a child learns and provide for individual
differences among children as they grow.
The goal of our program is to provide a Christian atmosphere in which a child can prepare for a successful school
experience by becoming an enthusiastic learner.
Trinity Lutheran Christian Preschool does not discriminate
on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the
administration of its admissions policies and other schooladministered programs.
CURRICULUM EMPHASIS
Our curriculum provides a hands on learning
approach to education. Learning areas include:
 Creative Art
 Christian Theme Units
 Language Development
 Music
 Cooking
 Math and Science Learning Centers
 Dramatic Play
 Puzzles and Games
 Book Center
 Computer Time
 Gross Motor and Fine Motor Skills
The curriculum is presented in an atmosphere of
mutual respect to foster a positive self-concept.
Emphasis on cooperation, listening, following
directions, problem solving, and decision making are
necessary in a child’s preparation for school and
living in society. We offer a balance of social and
academic experiences with the State of Ohio Early
Learning Standards.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Children visit with the Director once a month for
special
Christian
worship
experiences.
SERVICE PROJECTS
Children learn the joy of caring about
others through nursing home visits,
collecting and donating food and gifts
and other ways of showing God’s love.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT
We believe that communication between parents and staff
is essential for maintaining the best program possible to
meet your child’s needs. Throughout the year, parents
have the opportunity to participate in parent conferences,
attend parties and field trips and be a classroom volunteer.
We provide a monthly newsletter as well as regular notices
and calendars from the teachers.
PLAYGROUND
The indoor and
outdoor play areas are
designed for young
children to exercise
large motor skills, play
cooperatively, and
have fun!
