This
course is designed to build on the outstanding track record of the Christian Medical
College as an institution providing quality health and research training, coupled with a well
developed system of community based care that has evolved with it.
A
multidisciplinary faculty and a supporting team of public/social scientists from CMC aim to
train public health specialists for roles in both private and public sectors. The teaching-learning
activities span primary, secondary and tertiary care levels and the faculty at each of these levels
have a proven track record of involvement in public health activities at the local, state, national
and international level.
Who can apply
Course Fee
Students with qualifications of MBBS, MOT, MPT,
BDS, BVSc and MSc Nursing.
Students
with qualifications of B.Sc. Nursing,
BOT or BPT with at least two years experience in
a hospital or health programme are also eligible.
Course fee Rs 100,000 for the 2 year course.

Course Details
Facilities
Duration of course: 2 years
Core course subjects will be taught in
the
first year (60 credits). Teaching methods will
include didactic lectures, assignments, exercises,
community work for data collection, analysis,
visit to projects and public health facilities.
The second year will involve an internship and
a project based work chosen in mutual
agreement with named supervisor and
submission of dissertation.
CMC has a 200 acre wooded campus
surrounded by picturesque hills. Facilities
include internet access, access to CMCs Elearning site, and library services including
online access to leading journals.
